Pressure Gauge Reading is Wrong
When off, the pressure gauge doesn’t read zero.
Poor Calibration
To calibrate the ventilator, set the pressure gauge to zero by removing the small sticker directly below pressure gauge while the machine is off. Then, using a small screwdriver, twist screw to the gauge reads zero when off.
Indicator Light Won’t Turn On
When the switch is turned to “on,” it doesn’t light up.
Blown Fuses
If the fuses are blown, they will need to be replaced. Remove the small door on the back of the device at the bottom left, then pinch the clips in the middle to remove the fuse housing. If either of the fuses are smoky on they instead, they need to be replaced. Replace with T 3.0 AL250V fuses.
Unwanted Pressure
The device is not producing desired pressure on either the inhale or exhale.
Clogged Filter
If the pressure is too low, remove the filter between the hose and machine. If the filter is blocked, it must be replaced, not cleaned.
Settings
If the filter is clear, or the pressure is too high, you will need to adjust the pressure. To start, set the machine to “manual” and block the end of the pipe away from the machine. Set the manual lever to what needs to be adjusted (inhale or exhale), and adjust the dial to the desired pressure.
Incorrect Timings
The inhale, exhale, or pause timings are different than the knobs display.
Poor Calibration
To alter the timings of inhale, pause, and exhale phases of the ventilator, follow the preliminary disassembly guide to remove the top cover. From the front, you will find three knobs on the back of the device face, left hand side. Use these to adjust the timings: the left knob controls inhale, the middle controls pause, and the right controls exhale. Turn the knob clockwise to increase the timings of each phase.
Limited Pressure
The pressure doesn’t fall in the extremes; either the minimum pressure is too high, or the maximum is too low.
Poor Calibration
To set the minimum and maximum possible pressures, follow the preliminary disassembly guide to remove the top cover. From the front, there will be two knobs on the right hand side of the device. The top knob adjusts the minimum pressure, with clockwise increasing, while the bottom adjust the maximum pressure, with counterclockwise increasing.
Warm/Abnormal Airflow
The air from the ventilator is abnormally warm
Dirty or Clogged Filter
The filter may be clogged or dirty. To check filter status, remove the filter between the hose and machine and replace if clogged or abnormally dirty.
External Problems
Keep the ventilator in a well-ventilated area, out of direct sunlight and away from bedding or curtains that could block the airflow. The temperature of the air will vary based off room temperature, but keep it away from heating devices (heaters, machines, etc.)
Still lost?
