Camera won’t turn on
No matter what you try the camera fails to show signs of being turned on.
Dead battery
If the camera won’t turn on, then the batteries may need to be replaced. It is a simple fix and should be tried first. Replacement guide is found here.
Water damage
Even though the camera is waterproof, the inside may be damaged due to water getting into the camera. This could have happened because of not properly securing the rubber fittings around all entrances to the camera, a rupture due to a high pressure load (if you take your camera too deep).
Pictures aren't displaying properly
After reviewing all of the previous pictures, none of them are being displayed properly.
Debris in screen or Lens
If the photo is blurry after cleaning the outside of the screen, then you may have to clean the inside of the plastic covering or the inside of the lens. Cleaning the lens can be found here.
Cracked screen
If the photo has deep lines running through it the screen may need to be replaced.Replacement guide is found here.
Pictures aren’t being captured properly
The image on the screen appears distorted in some way, but when scrolling through previous pictures they are being displayed normally.
Cracked lens
If the photo looks blurry, there may be a crack on the plastic piece covering the lense. This can be easily identified by looking at the front lens from the outside. If a scratch/crack can be seen the plastic covering may need to be replaced.
Discolored pictures
If the photo is discolored check to make sure the color setting is on a normal mode. If the problem insists, then the lense may have to be replaced. The megapixels inside the lense may have gotten distorted.Replacement guide is found here.
Camera’s flash doesn't work
When a picture is taken in a dark environment and the correct settings are on, the flash still doesn't go off.
Light bulb burnt out

Proper precautions should be taken (i.e. rubber gloves and rubber-tipped tweezers should be used. Another option is to bring the device to an experienced repair store.)
Broken capacitor
If the flash isn't working then the capacitor may have worn out. This can be replaced.WARNING: It is possible to be shocked in the process. Proper precautions should be taken (i.e. rubber gloves and rubber-tipped tweezers should be used. Another option is to bring the device to an experienced repair store.)
Camera won’t take photos
When you hit the shutter button to take a photo, but it doesn't capture. And the screen doesn't display anything indicating that there is something wrong.
SD card is locked
If the camera doesn't take a photo then you may have to flip the switch on the SD card from "locked" to "unlocked." This setting can prevent photos from being taken due to lack of memory storage.
