Sediment/debris build up can prevent access to the blade clamp release on the Milwaukee Sawzall 6520-21.
Steps for cleaning include:
- Unplug device from power source.
- Remove Blade Shoe Assembly.
- Dislodge any loose debris with dry compressed air.
- Any larger remaining debris dislodge with an appropriately sized prying device.
- Give a final wipe down to remove leftover stubborn debris with a damp cloth.
- Reinsert Blade Shoe Assembly.
Torsion Spring No Longer Provides Tension :
If the Quick Lok Blade Clamp is no longer effective in holding the blade, prior uses may have fatigued the ******Torsion Spring: it is common for the spring to to be overstressed.
Steps for Replacing:
- To get to the Torsion spring pull off the External Retaining Ring and Front Cam
- Next release the Lock Pin and pieces will disassemble
