Impact Driver Creates Unusual Sound
The impact driver doesn’t seem to run like normal, or it makes a weird noise when it's in use.
An issue that is common in impact drivers that creates a unusual noise on startup is a lack of lubrication maintenance.
Drill Needs To Be Lubricated
A common issue here is the lack of lubrication to the motor shaft as well as the impact anvil. To reach the motor shaft and anvil you must first remove off the front hammer case. This can be done with a normal Phillips screwdriver. After the hammer case is removed we suggest using a lubricant such as WD40 or a lithium grease to lubricate critical components inside the drill.
Drill Does Not Spin When Turned On
The drill bit seems to slip when tightly fastening a fastener into place.
If you are having trouble with the interaction between the drill bit itself and fastener you are using, it is likely time to replace the drill bit. Overtime and through frequent use the drill bit will wear down and become rounded and deformed, drill bits can be bought for fairly cheap and come in bulk packaging.
Drill Bitt Needs to Be Replaced
To replace the drill bit, extend the chuck compartment and the drill bit should pop out. After the bit is out, remove it and replace it with a new bit.
Drill Bit Won’t Fit into Impact Driver
The drill bit doesn't seem to properly seat into the impact driver.
This issue is typically due to one of two simple solutions.
Drill bit Is Worn Down
The drill bit you are using has become worn down from frequent use and should be replaced as stated previously. To replace the drill bit extend the chuck compartment and the bit should pop out. Remove the worn down bit and replace with a new one.
Chuck Needs To Be Cleaned
The inside of the chuck should be cleaned, this can be done with any form of compressed air with relative ease. To Clean the chuck remove the drill bit by extending the chuck forward. After the drill bit is removed use a clean rag wipe down any left over residue and filth from the chuck.
Device Won’t Power On
The device does not spin when the trigger is pulled, and does not do any other function.
The drill not powering on is linked to two problems.
Faulty Battery
The problem may be that they device battery is not charged. Make sure that the battery is fully charged. If the batter is charged and the device is still not working, the battery itself may need to be replaced.
Problem with Trigger Mechanism
The trigger mechanism may also be a cause of the device not powering on. Consider blowing compressed air between the trigger and the plastic housing of the cover.
Device Will Not Work Despite Being Charged
The device will not start or seem to function despite having been charged.
Battery Needs To Be Replaced
If the device is not working when turned on and fully charged it may need to have its battery replaced. Charge the device fully, and if the device is still not working replace the battery. This can be found here in the battery replacement guide.

forward and reverse control is intermittent. When the trigger is released the unit should come to a braking type stop. If it does then the directional switch responds correctly. But other times will come to a long wind down type of stop. When the coasting stop occurs, the directional switch will have no effect. Resulting in the unit to continue to turn in its previous setting. I have to continue to start Nd stop the unit until the braking type stop occurs. Then and only then will the unit begin to rotate in the correct direction. I have opened the unit and cleaned dust etc. type material from around the switch, which had no effect. I’m guessing the braking action that is intermittent is why this problem occurs. And that braking action is developed electronically? If so then my only choice is to buy a complete electronic assembly, which costs as much as a complete unit. Any thoughts on this issue?

The drill I have has an issue with the motor spinning. When the trigger is pulled, the light comes on, but the motor doesn't always turn. If you hit it or turn it manually it works fine. Any solutions as to why this isn't working? I think it may be the contacts, but it might not.
