If inputs are improperly registering or not being detected with your Mayflash Arcade Stick F300, follow this troubleshooting guide.
Joystick microswitches need to be replaced.
If the joystick is sticking when using the device, it can be due to one or multiple microswitches being broken. To test this, try swapping the problem microswitch with a working one within the joystick already, and if the problem persists in the original microswitch, it may need to be replaced. For how to replace joystick microswitches, follow this Mayflash Arcade Stick F300 Microswitch Replacement guide.
Joystick needs to be replaced
If the joystick is experiencing multiple issues including not registering inputs or drifting when in use, it may be best to replace the entire joystick. This can be tested by connecting to a different device or program and checking if the problem persists. Does the joystick feel loose or wobbly when in use? A wobbly or misaligned joystick can be due to worn out parts like the spring inside it or loose screws. Replacing the joystick can also be done for improved aesthetics or accessibility. For how to replace the joystick, follow this Mayflash Arcade Stick F300 Joystick Replacement guide.
Joystick cables faulty or broken
Internal cables or wires that are damaged and unsecured can cause the joystick to respond improperly. Open the arcade stick and inspect the wires for physical damage or visible connection issues with the joystick and PCB. Any frayed or broken wires that are found should be replaced. Follow this Mayflash Arcade Stick F300 Joystick Replacement guide for how to replace joystick cables.
