Wireless Guitar Does Not Turn On
The wireless guitar controller will not power on
Dead Batteries
If your wireless guitar does not turn on, it could be due to improperly inserted or dead batteries. Follow this guide to replace your battery(GUIDE HERE)
Power Button is Defective
If your batteries are working fine and your device still does not turn on, there could be an issue with the power button. See how to replace it [crwdns2936915:0crwdne2936915:0].
Connectivity Issues
Wireless guitar controller will not connect to Xbox.
Sync Component Malfunction
Locate the sync button to the left of the CD drive on the Xbox One console. Next, find the sync button on the guitar (PICTURE). Press and hold both buttons for at most two seconds. If the white light on the guitar is blinking rapidly, then the controller is attempting to sync with the Xbox. If the connection was successful, the light will blink slower, then remain steadily lit. If the light does not stop blinking slowly, continue the process of holding down both sync buttons at the same time until the connection is established. After three tries if the sync process has not worked, your wireless component may need to be replaced.
Faulty Sync Component
If the above process was unsuccessful, your sync component may [crwdns2936915:0crwdne2936915:0] need to be replaced.
Unresponsive Buttons
Your guitar has buttons that do not work anymore.
Guitar Freezes During Gameplay
If your guitar is freezing during gameplay, then a hard reboot is required of your wireless guitar. To reboot your controller, press and hold the XBox button on the guitar until it turns off, then press it again until it turns on. Another method to reboot your wireless guitar is to remove the batteries from the back of the guitar, and put them back in. If the problem persists, you may need to replace your batteries.
Lagging Guitar Buttons
If any of the guitar keys or buttons are not registering properly or you experience lag during play, then there may be a connectivity issue. Turn off your guitar then turn it back on. If your guitar does not automatically sync with the XBox, then follow the "Sync Component Malfunction" process above.
If you are still experiencing problems with inconsistent response, then there may be too much interference with the Bluetooth/wireless signal. To increase signal strength of your guitar to your Xbox, move your Xbox to a higher position and remove anything that might be in the way of the device. If possible, it can also help to use a 5GHz WiFi band on as many wireless devices as you can (i.e. cellular devices, laptops).
Broken Whammy Bar
If your whammy bar functions inconsistently, then you may need to upgrade your firmware. To upgrade your firmware, you will need to connect your wireless controller to a computer via USB. Once you have connected your guitar to your computer, follow the guide and links here to download the correct firmware.
If your whammy bar no longer works, it may [crwdns2936915:0crwdne2936915:0].

If your strum bar has seen better days, refer to the following [crwdns2936915:0crwdne2936915:0].

whats up fellow just dug out rock band for quarantine buddy. I saw the same thing on mine and because I had nothing to lose I opened it up to poke around. i unplugged and replugged the 4 pin power connector and basically just jiggled all of the wires right around the battery casing and its worked since then. Your Mileage May Vary but its worked for me.

I fixed the issue with the power button! I opened up the back and took out the actual plastic button that’s over the rubber button. I had to kinda rotate the power button around, but it ended up working! I’m just gonna leave the plastic part off because the problem is that just pushing straight down on the rubber button doesn’t work, you have to mess around with it to get it to turn on.

Hi, I was able to sync my RB4 guitar and drums to the xbox one (I used a wireless adapter), there is a steady/solid white light, but I still can’t connect them. I tried to update firmware from harmonix but max says cannot open the firmware file. Any idea?
