Phone will not turn on
Pressed and held power button but phone does not turn on.
Drained battery
The battery may need to charge. Connect the phone to a compatible charger and wait a few minutes before turning it on again.
Dead battery
If the phone has been plugged into a charger but still does not turn on, the battery may be dead and need replacing. Consult this replacement guide for the battery.

Digitizer may be damaged
If the digitizer is damaged and needs to be changed, consult this replacement guide for the digitizer.
Unable to access browser
Cannot pull up browser to view online sites, videos, etc.
Browser malfunction
If browser is inaccessible, there are a couple possible solutions.
- First solution: Temporarily removing the battery.
- Power off phone by pressing and holding END key till options appear, select POWER OFF.
- Remove battery for 30 seconds, then put the battery back in.
- Press and hold END key to power phone back on.
- Second solution: Reset phone to its original factory settings by doing the following.
- Power off phone by pressing and holding END key till options appear, select POWER OFF.
- Remove battery for 30 seconds, then put the battery back in.
- Press and hold END key until phone powers up completely.
- Power phone off again by pressing and holding END key, select POWER OFF.
- Press and hold in sequential order: Volume Up button, SEND key, track ball, END key. Hold down all four until device vibrates twice, then let go. Note: Formatting data and cache should appear. If not, redo steps 1 through 5.
- Phone should now be unlocked and reset to its original factory settings. Follow standard activation procedure.
Cannot receive text messages
You are able to send text messages but cannot receive them.
Text message memory is set too low
Memory limit for text messages can be adjusted by doing the following:
- Go to Messaging
- Go to Menus
- Go to Settings
- Go to Text Message Limit and adjust the limit
Text message memory is at full capacity
If text message limit has already been adjusted to its maximum, and you still cannot receive incoming messages, delete existing messages to create more room for memory.
Device locked
Unable to unlock phone with either pattern unlock or password
Too many failed attempts to unlock the device
Instead of using your regular password or swipe pattern, use the default password for the pattern lock. For the username, enter your Gmail username, and for the password enter: null. This should unlock the device.
