Grinder Grinds too Slowly
The grinder is not grinding beans as quickly as it should.
Need to clean
Ground coffee particulates can clog the device. This can cause beans to be ground too coarsely or too slowly. Clean the device of all coffee grounds, and check especially around the base of the blade.
Too much coffee
If you put too many coffee beans into the grinder, the grinder will be unable to function properly. Remove some of the beans and try again.
Dull blade
It is possible that the blade has dulled over time. The only recourse is to replace it.
Bad motor
If the grinder stops and starts or there are strange noises associated with the poor grinding, the motor may be bad. This would necessitate a new motor. Use this guide to replace the motor.
Grinder Grinds too Coarsely
The grinder does not grind coffee beans efficiently or effectively. This problem keeps beans from being ground as fine as desired.

Grinder fails to initiate
For some reason, the grinder will not even turn on to grind the coffee beans.
Not plugged in
First, make sure that the plug attached to the grinder is plugged in.
Cap/Trigger not positioned properly
If the cap is attached incorrectly, the trigger will not depress its button to grind the coffee beans. Attach the cap to wear the button can fully depress or readjust/replace the trigger. Reference this guide for trigger replacement.
Button under cap is clogged
Depress the button with a thin implement, such as a toothpick, repeatedly to cycle to the coffee grounds out of the button.
Bad motor
If none of the above are the source of the issue the motor may be bad. If this is the case, you will have to replace the motor. Use this guide to replace the motor.

Where do I get a new coffee grinder motor? Are they selling these?

I have the opposite problem — I use a French press, and it doesn’t grind coarsely enough.

It was working fine, and then just stopped a few days after. Button is not clog, I hear the sound of the motor but the blades dont move. The closest repair center is far/and shut right now but I do want to repair this and not let it go in a landfall. Any idea why the blades aren’t moving? Thank you.

None of these address my problem. The grinder starts but it does not grind anything. I would imagine the problem is that motor does not connect to the blades because the motor runs really fast but does not grind anything

Same here! Were you able to fix yours?
Leah Montgomery -
Motor shaft bearing wears out. Grinder might become louder or squeal for a while. Shaft starts to stick and may seize up entirely.
If you keep holding the button down while it's seized you may overheat & damage or kill the motor.
If you can unstick/rotate the blade by hand (UNPLUG GRINDER FIRST!) before running it, the motor might overcome remaining friction.
Eventually the bearing either seizes entirely, or wears down to a higher-friction bushing that you may have to “unstick” before each (brief) use.
YMMV. :)

The motor on my grinder functions, but the blade no longer rotates so the grinder is useless unless repaired. In fact it can be pulled away from the end of the shaft easily. There appear to be strands of plastic from the blade boss that are still attached to the grooves in the metal shaft. There is nothing left to secure the blade to the metal.

Cannot get the cup out of the base, grinds fine.

I also have an interesting problem, my grinder starts, it is connected to the blades, but somehow the coffee beans are not ground
How can I clean the grinder? or the pipe?

After making sure the grinder is plugged in, you might mention to try a different power source.
In my case it had been plugged into a power strip and working, and one day that particular outlet on the power strip just stopped working, even though the other devices plugged in to the same power strip were still working. I eventually tried a different outlet, but only after spending quite a bit of time playing with the button.

someone used my grinder and pushed too hard for too long. Now it is in permanent ON mode. I think either a part of the power button broke off inside or it is depressed too far in the opening. How can I fix this?
