Camera Does Not Turn On/Off, Buttons and Controls Do Not Function
The camera will not turn on or off, or the buttons and controls are not functioning.
Insert batteries
- Ensure that four AA batteries are inserted properly in the battery compartment.
Close the battery cover
- Make sure that the battery cover is closed and has shut properly. For more details on the battery cover, please see a more detailed guide here.
Remove and reinsert or replace batteries
- Try removing and reinserting the batteries if you are sure that they’re not dead. If not, replace the batteries.
Charge rechargeable batteries
- If you have a rechargeable battery for this device, make sure that it is charged.
Picture is Not Clear
Pictures taken with the device are not clear
Set exposure and focus
- To automatically set the exposure and focus, press the shutter button halfway. When the framing marks turn green, press the shutter button completely down to take the picture.
Clean the lens
- Make sure that the lens is clean.
Check the camera’s mode
- Ensure that the device is not in Macro mode.
Steady the camera
- Place the camera on a flat, steady surface or use a tripod (especially in high-zoom settings or in low light).
Use a larger picture size
- Set the picture size to be larger in the camera’s settings.
ISO speed
- If you are manually setting the ISO speed, a high ISO setting may be causing the grainy pictures.
Camera is Not Taking Any More Pictures
The camera will not take any more photos.
Turn on the camera
- Make sure that the camera is turned on.
Check available memory
- Check the memory space available on the device. If the memory is full, move all pictures to the computer and delete them from the camera.
Switch the image storage locations
- Change where images are stored on the camera in order to free up space in the camera’s memory.
Insert a card with available memory
- Insert a new memory card. Make sure the camera is powered off before removing or inserting a card.
Camera is constantly freezing
The camera subsequently freezes during use, especially when removable storage is inserted or removed
Restart the camera
- Press the power button to turn off the camera, after 10 seconds turn the camera back on.
Make sure the camera isn’t overheating
- Give the camera time to cool down, at least 10 minutes
Remove and re-insert the batteries
- Open the battery cover and remove the four AA batteries and re-insert them
Camera flash doesn’t work
The flash mode of the camera doesn’t properly fire
Check which camera setting is being used
- Press the Flash button repeatedly to scroll through the different flash modes and see which is in use. If in Digital Correction or Off Mode, the
Flash will not fire
- Check your environment’s lighting
- If flash is in Auto mode and lighting conditions are bright, then the flash will not fire
Battery keeps dying
The camera’s battery life is extremely short and continues to die
Ensure the camera batteries are properly inserted
- Make sure the four AA batteries are inserted properly, with the negative and positive ends of the batteries pointing in the correct direction
Charge rechargeable batteries
- If you have a rechargeable battery for this device, make sure that it is charged.
Put the camera in a lower LCD Brightness setting
- Put the camera in Power Save mode, making the LCD screen dimmer

- Adjust the LCD brightness setting, use a low brightness for dark setting and a high brightness for a bright setting.

- Restart the device if the problem insist contact to the manufacture

Camera is not saving pictures
- Please make sure a memory card is inserted into the device located in the battery compartment.
Camera is not recognizing the card
- Card may be corrupted format the card in the camera option.
- Use another memory card. Only SD and SDHC card are supported.
Pictures on card are corrupted
- Retake the picture.
- Do not remove card while the device is powered.
- Transfer pictures to a computer and format the memory card.

- Adjust video out setting tom NTSC or PAL.
- Make sure the external devices setting are correct.
Computer does not communicate with the camera
- Restart the device.
