Camera does not turn on

Camera does not turn on after pressing power button.

Hold down power button

If the camera is off and will not turn on when pushing the power button, a simple solution may fix the problem. In order to turn on the camera while it is off, press and hold the power button until the camera turns on.

Batteries need to be re-adjusted/cleaned

If you notice the batteries have collected some dirt, consider taking out the batteries and placing them back in under the correct pole configuration for each battery. If the batteries are dirty, simply clean them using rubbing alcohol.

Replace batteries

Replace the batteries by following our guide.

Bad logic board

It's possible that dropping the camera or damaging can ruin the logic board. The logic board may not be working properly anymore and must be replaced, or the camera might have to be sent to Kodak for repair. In case you don't want to risk replacing an important part like the logic board, consider sending the camera to Kodak because installing the logic board incorrectly can ruin the camera.

Overheating

Sometimes the camera may overheat after prolonged use. Turn the camera off and let it stand for 5 minutes before turning it on again.

Logic board

It's possible that dropping or damaging the camera ruin the logic board. The logic board may not be working properly anymore and must be replaced, or the camera might have to be sent to Kodak for repair. Remove batteries

Remove the batteries from the battery compartment by following this guide.

Remove any obstructions near lens

Sometimes obstructions may restrict the lens from working properly. Consider using something like a Q-tip to clean the edge around of the lens.

Replace the lens assembly

The lens might need replacement if it is unrepairable. If this is the case, consider replacing the lens of the camera.

Flash does not work

Camera does not flash when needed.

Remove batteries

Remove the batteries from the battery compartment and reinsert them using these instructions.

Change the capacitor

It's possible that capacitor may be damaged or faulty after several uses of the camera. Consider replacing the capacitor in the camera.

LCD screen does not work

LCD screen is damaged/not working properly.

LCD screen is cracked

Once the LCD screen cracked or damaged severly, the only solution is to replace the screen. If the LCD screen is cracked on the camera, you'll need to replace it by following this guide.
