Is your JBL Xtreme 4 speaker not charging even when left on the charger for at least 8 hours? Use this troubleshooting guide to help diagnose why.
Faulty Charger or Outlet
If your device is not charging it could be an issue with the charger or the outlet it’s connected to. Try using a different charger and plugging into a different outlet.
Loose or Unstable Charging Port
If your charger is able to wiggle around while plugged in or it easily falls out, your charging port may be damaged or dirty. First check that there is no debris and try cleaning the port.
- To clean it, use a soft brush to gently clean the port.
- If you have compressed air, you can also do quick short bursts to blast out any debris.
If the wiggling persists and the device is still not charging you may need to replace the charging port which you can do following our guide here.
Faulty Battery
If the issue doesn't lie with your charging port, the issue could be with your battery. If your speaker is only able to stay on while plugged in, the battery may no longer hold charge. If this is the case, it will need to be replaced, which you can do following our guide here.
