You have trouble powering on your computer.

If the light of the charger is on, make sure the charger is connected to the computer. If the computer only turns on when the charger is connected, then the battery needs to be replaced. Use the following guide to do so.

Make sure the charger is plugged into the computer and that the charge light is on. If the charger is plugged in, but the light does not turn on, the charger is faulty. Consider replacing the charger.

The keys on your keyboard will not respond, are missing or broken.

If the entire keyboard does not respond, try using this guide to replace it.

If keys are missing from your keyboard, replace them.

Dirt and debris can cause a key to become stuck. Remove the key and inspect the area below. Wipe the area clean and snap the key back into place.

The LCD on your HP Envy Sleekbook m6-k010dx does not show anything when the computer is powered on

If your device is on (lights and sounds) and your device screen is black then a hard reset will need to be performed.

1. Turn off the computer.

2. Disconnect any external connections such as USBs or AC adapter.

3. Press and hold the Power button for 15 seconds to reset.

If the device turns on and the screen is still black you may need to replace the LCD screen. Use the following guide to do so.

Your computer shuts off without warning while powered on.

The computer can overheat due to the fan not turning on or having dust or dirt stuck in it. To fix this, try using a compressed air duster to carefully blow the dust off of the vents and fan. If the fan is still not working consider replacing it using this guide.

Your computer may not be making contact between the heat sink and processor. This is usually caused by a lack of thermal paste or by air in between the two components. To fix this issue clean off the old thermal paste and then apply a bead of new thermal paste in the center of the processor. Gently push the heat sink back in place and re-tighten screws.

The touch pad on your computer is unresponsive.

First, check to see that the TouchPad is on by double tapping the upper left corner of the TouchPad. If your TouchPad is still unresponsive you can perform a hard reset by doing the following:

1. Turn off the computer.

2. Disconnect any external connections such as USBs or AC adapter.

3. Press and hold the Power button for 15 seconds to reset.

If your TouchPad is still unresponsive your TouchPad may be faulty. Replace the TouchPad using the following guide to do so.
