Blocked Airway
A laptop's airflow can be disrupted if it’s not being used on a flat or hard surface. Uneven surfaces such as pillows or blankets can prevent airflow through the vent and cause your device to overheat. To fix this issue, place your laptop on a flat surface such as a table or a laptop stand for proper ventilation.
Dusty Vent or Fan
A device can overheat when the vent or fan’s circulation is disrupted by dust or other materials. To resolve this issue, remove the back panel and locate the fan. Once you locate the fan, use a cloth to clean most of the dust and a Q-tip for hard to reach places.
Broken Fan
When a laptop frequently overheats, the fan could be improperly working or broken. A broken fan prevents cool airflow through the laptop resulting in overheating. To fix this issue, you need to remove the back panel. Once removed, locate the fan and replace the old one with a new one. HP17-x116xd Fan Replacement

Slow Computer

Poor Internet Connection
If the connection is weak, then that might be the cause for the device to be slow when using the Internet. However, your device shouldn’t be slow when using programs that do not require internet. Check the internet connection, click the WiFi icon and check if your device is connected to the WiFi, or if the WiFi signal is weak. To fix this, chose another internet connection.
Viruses
If your device is unusually slow when using programs and the internet, then it might have malware. Your device might have viruses if ads and pop-up messages randomly appear, and if your device keeps crashing that might be another symptom for viruses. To remove viruses, place your device into safety mode and search for an antivirus program for your device. If your device doesn’t have an antivirus program, then you can download one for free. Once you have the program run a scan.
Faulty RAM
If your device takes long to run programs or freezes, it could mean you have a faulty RAM. If a blue screen with text flashes each time you restart your device that might be caused by the RAM. Another symptom of a defective RAM is that some files could become corrupted and installing new programs may fail. To replace a RAM, find out what kind of RAM your device needs and purchase a new one. Once you get the new RAM, turn off your device and open the back panel. Remove the old RAM and replace it with the new one. HP17-x116xd RAM Replacement
