If your Eureka SuctionSeal Pet isn't picking up dirt or debris like you'd expect, follow this troubleshooting guide.
Obstructed parts
- With use, the hose can accumulate debris or other obstructions. These can be simple to remove, but may require the removal of the hose from the vacuum. Twist the hose connector tab clockwise to remove the hose from the vacuum body. Look for any clogs in the hose or filter - Sometimes things can get caught inside the hose. You can use a rod or other blunt object to clear a blockage in the hose. You can also try flexing the hose to help loosen debris. Then, reattach the hose to the vacuum.
- The dust cup will collect dust from the vacuum, but will need to be emptied from time to time. To remove the dust cup, press the dust cup release button and lift the dust cup off. Then, empty any debris into the garbage and reattach the dust cup to the vacuum.
- If emptying the dust cup didn’t resolve the issue, the filter may need to be cleared out. The filter will also fill up over time, this can cause a reduction in suction. The dust cup replacement guide can be found here.
Damaged/worn out parts
- Burnt out motor - The motor may burn out with use, and may need to be replaced. The motor replacement guide can be found here.
Incorrect floor type setting
- This can be resolved by adjusting the floor type dial, or by flipping the floor nozzle switch. Turn the vacuum off, wait three seconds, then switch it into carpet mode and power back on.
