Edifier W820NB Plus Not Connecting

Are you having trouble connecting your Edifier W820NB Plus headphones to a device wirelessly? Use this troubleshooting guide to help diagnose why.

If the headphones do not have any power, they will not be able to produce a Bluetooth signal or function wirelessly. Before attempting to change anything with the device or the headphones be sure to charge them until the orange LED turns off, indicating it is fully charged. To turn them on properly simply hold down the power button for 3 seconds until the LED blinks blue.

Whenever connecting wirelessly, the device you are connecting to needs to have their Bluetooth turned on and able to discover nearby devices for the headphones to actually connect. Make sure to select "EDIFIER W820NB Plus" when attempting to connect with the headphones via Bluetooth.

If the device you are using does not support Bluetooth capabilities, it will not be able to connect wirelessly to the headphones on their own, meaning you can either use a Bluetooth adapter that grants your device the ability to use Bluetooth or simply use the headphones wired. To use the headphones in a wired state simply take the charging cable (USB-A to USB-C) and connect it to the headphones as well as whatever device you wish to connect to.

If the headphones are attempting to connect to a device you do not wish to use and refuse to connect when selected in the list of devices on Bluetooth, a hard reset will be able to clear all previous pairing records and stop automatic pairing with old devices. To do this simply hold down the volume up (+) and volume down (-) keys for around 5 seconds until the LED flashes 6 times in rapid succession, indicating the hard reset was performed.

In the scenario that all the above options do not work or simply do not apply, the last possible option would be that the motherboard is broken, sometimes causing the headphones to be on and claim to be pairing but not appear on anything able to detect a Bluetooth signal, meaning that no signal is being produced at all.
