Audio Distortion
The speaker does not sound clear when turned on.
Loose Wire
When the sound cuts in and out or when the the volume is inconsistent, a loose wire/ground may be the issue. The loose connection will result in the variance of the speaker's ability to produce sound and will need to be tightened or replaced.
Defective Speaker Cone
If sound from the speaker is still inconsistent, the speaker cone may be bent or punctured. If this is the case, the cone will have to be replaced.
No Audio
You try to turn the speaker on but cannot play music through it.
Loose Wire
If the the speaker is not functioning, there may be loose wiring within the housing. If so, the wire connections may need to be repaired or the wires themselves may need to be replaced.
Faulty Voice Coil
If the sound continues to be nonexistent, the voice coil may be defective. The voice coil is located within the speaker assembly and will need to be replaced.
Battery Will Not Hold A Charge
The speaker is constantly dead, even if you charge it.
Battery Jack
Press the power button to see if the power indicator light turns on. If it does not turn on, plug the charger to the jack. If nothing happens, the jack may be faulty and will have to be replaced.
Battery
If the jack is working fine and all connections are tight, the battery within the unit could be dead and will have to be replaced.
Controls Not Responding
Speaker appears to be on, but the buttons are not responding.
Loose Wire
If the speaker does not respond when the controls are depressed, there may be a loose connection to the button.
Buttons
If the speaker does not respond when controls are depressed, they will have to be replaced due to a faulty switch within the button.
Display Lights Not Responding
Speaker appears to be on, but the indicator lights are not responding.
Loose Wire
If the bluetooth and power indicator lights do not turn on when the speaker is on, there may be a loose connection to the LED light.
Bad LED
If the display lights are not functioning, the LED light will have to be replaced.

Yes I’m having a similar issue-radio doesn’t work at all. I’ve tried moving the whole speaker to spots in the house with higher bandwidth, disconnecting bluetooth, tried every station. Any help on this?

Speakers are fine with Bluetooth. Just the radio doesn’t work sound is very distorted. Like the antenna is not connected. Or something else.

I have been following this thread for awhile and no one has replied with an answer. I tried replacing the fuse in the where the charging cable plugs in but that didn't work. I tried to replacing the battery in the back with one from amazon, but that didn't work either. :( There is a rebate program that you may qualify for, but I'd be shipping mine from Minnesota to California which would cost around $120 (not worth it).

My Ecospeaker plays for a little while and then it shuts down and then I have to return it back on to hear from it again then after 10 mins shuts off again I keep it plugged into power 24/7 because it does not move and it acts like it's not charging I have also shut it down and charged it 24 hours shut down so it should have a full charge but once I pair up after maybe a half hour it shuts down. Whats going on with it it's not even a year old it's maybe 6 months old and I got it from Cosco

Had mine only 3wks now, from Costco also, and it doeseâ the same as yours; The 2nd time I used it!!! Typically far less play time before it disconnects/ reconnects, I restart the song then 2-6min later I do it again. Did u figure out any fix tricks??? It also doesn't play through aux jack, never got radio on, and the led charge light stays green always….. but the 4 battery indicators only acknowledge power supply connection when the main On switch is on! Did we all buy Bluetooth speakers ??? or an extremely frustrating, headache inducing, and expensive box to smash outsome aggression on??!!🤬🤬

Sounds like you are having the same issues as we are. You can try to replace the battery (pretty easy - just be careful) and the fuse inside the inlet (use a flathead screwsriver for leverage to get the lid off). I tried that but it still didn't work.

Unit keeps blowing fuses. Will not turn on. Fuse blows as soon as I connect the wire. It in't the wire from power sourcs, it reads 12 volts. As soon as connection is made to the speaker the fuse blows. Model GDI-EXSNDXTR01

Just unscrew everything you see, but you'll need a longer shafted screwdriver for some. I unscrewed the grait in the front, took out the rubber pieces guarding the screws on the back to them out, etc. I was able to pull out the speakers, motherboard, and battery. Use a flathead screwdriver to pull out the fuse in the AC port (just remember how it came out so you can put it back properly).

Just tried to install mine. Heavy crackling from the end speakers. According to manufacturer its a wire issue possibly loose wire connection. I had to call and replace. waiting on new one.

Mine started doing the same. Tested volt out when plugged in, and it’s charging at 14.8v. Battery is also fully charged at 13.4v. Works fine when plugged in, but on a battery, it won’t turn on. Thinking about calling ecoxgear, just don’t know if they have a good support team.
