The Device is Frozen
The device screen freezes and stops working while being used.
App Issues
The device may freeze unexpectedly due to multiple apps running at once or an app that is running improperly. This is a common issue for all technology and can be amended by resetting the device. Resetting the device will reboot the software properly. This can be done one of two ways. If the device freezes, try pressing the power button while holding down for 10 seconds. This will shut off the device. Then try to restart as normal. If that does not get the device working again then try the “Reset” button. The "Reset" button is very small and will be located on the back of the device. Use a small pin to press the button down for 10 seconds to restart.
The Touch Panel is Not Responding
The touch-sensitive panel on the device stops responding to touch.
The screen is dirty
This may be caused by a dirty screen or environment factors that make the screen less sensitive. Try cleaning the screen with a soft cloth. If needed, use a cleaner to wipe the screen clean.
Hardware Issue
If the touchscreen is not responding to any touch on the screen then it could be a possible hardware issue with the tablet. This means the touch sensor inside the tablet is malfunctioning. ''''Press the "Reset" button to see if the tablet can be rebooted and gain access to the home page. Once on the homepage, press the volume button to see if you are able to raise or lower the volume. If your system can be rebooted and you are able to adjust the volume the touch sensor function may be bad.
The Device is Not Holding a Charge
The device loses power rapidly and will not stay charged for an extended period of time
The charging cord or port may be ruined
When the device dies rapidly over and over again, there is a hardware issue with either the cord or port that provides the device with power. Try using a different USB cable or wall charger to see if it will charge. If it is still unable to charge then the charging port may have become loose or detached.
The battery is bad
The battery or battery port may be damaged. Try replacing the battery.
The Device Won't Turn On
When the device will not power on
The battery is dead
If the tablet does not boot at all, this means there is no energy in the battery or it's not charged. If the tablet does not boot, hold the power button for 10 seconds. If that does not work then the device may need to be charged. Plug the device to a wall charger and attempt to power on once the device has a full battery. If it fails to charge and power on then the device battery may be bad. If there is no charging icon or the device still doesn't boot then you are dealing with a hardware issue within the tablet.
Locating Files Downloaded Via Internet
Downloaded files from the internet cannot be found.
The owner of the document disabled the use of printing or sharing
If the owner has disabled the use of printing or sharing the document then it will not have saved on the device.
The file was saved but cannot be found
When a file is downloaded from the internet it is saved and stored inside the memory of the device, and can be found through the settings or files on the device. Downloaded internet files can be found from the default settings. Go to the device’s default setting and select the “Download” folder. All downloads from the internet will be saved to this folder under internal storage SD card.
Reset the tablet to factory settings
To return the device to the form it was originally when it left the factory.
The device may not be working properly with the setup that is being used
Resetting the tablet back to factory settings will return the tablet back to the original software of the device. This will delete all information stored on your tablet unless previously saved or backed up. This is useful if you are reselling the tablet or have a really bad software problem which requires a factory reset.
To begin, you may want to consider saving all important data or information to a separate device or hard drive, as it will be gone after this reset. If you have taken care of all the things you may want to save (or nothing at all), go to the settings app. Once in the settings app, scroll ¾ to the bottom where the personal subheading is. In this drop down, there will be a tab that says backup and reset, click on that. Once in this menu, there will be another subheading at the top that says “Personal”. Directly below this, click on the factory data reset button, it will then prompt to double check and verify that you want to reset. After verifying, the device will shut off (within 5-10 minutes). Turn the device on and it will be set to new user/factory settings.
Reset the tablet without reverting to factory settings
To clear the device without deleting all files.
The device is responding slow and needs a quick restart
Restarting the device that keeps all of your files and information is very useful. Oftentimes, when devices get slow or are freezing, they can be fixed by rebooting the software. The most simple way to do this is by holding the power button for 10 seconds, then powering the device back on. Sometimes the device may experience a bug making it unable to shutdown. This can be remedied by holding the power button down, then inserting a small point (such as a tac or end of a paperclip) into the small hole located on the back of the tablet for ten seconds. This will trigger the tablet to reset but not to the factory settings.
Inserting a memory card
Using a memory card for additional storage.
Additional storage is needed
Memory cards (SD cards) are additional storage for electronic devices when the internal memory is full. To insert, open the tablet SD card slot cover that is located on the side and open the hatch. Position the SD card so that the printed side faces up and the card points toward the open slot. Use a paperclip or a finger nail to push the card into the lined slot.
