Tablet Is Overheating
Device is physically hot to the touch and/or isn’t functioning properly due to heat.
A Cooling Port Is Blocked
First ensure there are no ports being blocked on the device. The ports are located on the bottom of the device. If they are blocked, carefully dislodge any debris that is caught within the ports.
Overheating Due To High Demand On CPU/GPU
If the tablet is still running hot, turn the tablet off. Now disconnect all external cables(including the power cable) from the tablet. Press and hold the power button for 5 seconds. Then reconnect the power cable and turn the device back on.
Tablet won’t power on
The tablet shows no sign of powering on when ‘on’ button pressed or held.
Dead Battery
Ensure that the device is charged before trying to power on the device. The tablet is supplied with a 30 watt AC power adapter and micro-USB cable. Once plugged into the wall, a solid white LED status will signal that the device is charging. Once the battery is at full charge, the LED will turn off. If all else fails you will need to replace your battery by following our guide here.
Incorrect Charger
Ensure that you are charging the device with the charger that was provided at purchase. If an incorrect charger is used, the charge light may be on, but the device’s battery may not be charging. An incorrect charger is defined as any charger that may fit the device, but does not supply the device with an adequate amount of wattage.
Faulty Mother Board
If you have tried every solution out there yet your tablet does not respond, then you may need to replace your mother board. You can follow our motherboard replacement guide here.
Tablet Is Freezing/Stuttering
Tablet Is Freezing Due To “Link Power Management”
First navigate to the Apps Screen. Then locate the “Intel Rapid Storage” Icon and select it. Next click on the “Performance” icon. Now use the link to disable the “Link Power Management”. Finally, restart the tablet.
Tablet won’t charge
The tablet shows no sign of charging when plugged in.
Tablet does not charge when connected to the keyboard
If the keyboard’s battery is at 0%, connect the keyboard to the power outlet first and let it charge for around 10-20 minutes. Once the keyboard has a little charge connect it to the tablet and charge both at the same time. The battery symbol should now show that both the keyboard and tablet are now charging.
Charging cable does not connect to the tablet
If the charging cable does not stay connected to the micro USB connection this is a problem with the motherboard. If this is the problem, the only solution is to change the motherboard so that the cable stays on connected to the port. You can follow our motherboard replacement guide.
Tablet takes more than 12 hours to fully charge or does not charge at all
Run a diagnostic test to make sure that the battery is not a problem. If the program states that the battery is not the problem, make sure that you are using the charger provided by Dell, chargers have specific voltage for specific equipment.
Dell mobile keyboard won’t connect to Tablet
The keyboard is unresponsive
Unresponsive Keyboard
You connect your keyboard to your Dell Venue 11 pro but the tablet stops recognizing the keyboard, or does not recognize it at all. The touchpad and keys no longer works. The issue may lie in the registry. You can follow these steps to resolve the issue.
Since you are modifying the registry, this may have negative affects on your device. Continue at your own risk.'
1. Open Command Run
2. Type ‘regedit’ and click ok
3. Browse to
Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Enum\USB4. Locate each entry labeled VID_06CB&PID_2819xxxxx (I have four on my machine, one
that ended in 2819 only and three others with 2819&MI_0x where x is 0, 1 and 2)
5. Expand each tree until you get to the "Device Parameters" and click on it
6. On the right side of the editor, you'll see an entry for "SelectiveSuspendEnabled".
Change the value from 1 to 0.
7. Repeat for each VID_06CB&PID_2819xxxxx entry.
8. Close regedit, shut down and restart.
9. Check if this has resolved the issue or not.
Dead Keyboard Battery
When you connect your keyboard, the battery may not be displayed on your tablet and the keyboard will not respond to your touch. This means your keyboard has a dead battery. If your device is still within the Dell warranty period, you should contact Dell support for repair or replacement. If not, you can purchase a new Dell mobile keyboard.

No bootable device found error?
Khan Ameer - crwdns2934203:0crwdne2934203:0
Probably the same as any other PC, not specific to this tablet. Maybe the SSD is not seated properly in its connector, maybe there’s a physical problem with it, maybe it doesn’t contain a bootable operating system (the volume’s EFI data is wrong, there’s corruption to the filesystem, &c.).

Keyboard won’t connect, but not only in Windows/Linux also in BIOS. I’ve got two keyboard Slim and with Battery, and both not working
Dronisuav Latalovsky - crwdns2934203:0crwdne2934203:0
Sounds like it could be a physical problem with the keyboard connection on the Venue itself. Make sure it’s clean?
Brian -
Yes, the connections are clear. The battery is recognised normally (on the travel keyboard), but the touchpad and keyboard do not work. The strange thing is that this occurs on both keyboards, the fault lies with the Tablet. Bios update didn’t change anything
