Dell Precision 3510 Computer Will Not Power On
Some reasons why a Dell 3510 Precision sometimes powers off and has a hard time turning back on are because of battery issues, computer temperature, and hardware malfunctions.
Battery Issues
Your Dell Precision 3510 Computer may need to be reset. You can do this by unplugging any power cords. Once you have done so, locate the power button on the upper right-hand side of the keyboard and hold the button down for 30 seconds. Then, reconnect the power cords, and hold the power button to turn the computer back on.
If the Dell Precision 3510 Computer still doesn't turn on, then you will want to check your power adapter. Inspect the power adapter for physical damage, which may appear as fraying or severe bends in the cord.
If the Dell Precision 3510 Computer power adapter looks to be in good condition, try plugging the power adapter into a different outlet.
Once you have performed these tasks, and the Dell Precision 3510 Computer still won't power on, then there is most likely an issue with the battery hardware of the computer.
Overheating
If your Dell Precision 3510 Computer won't turn on due to it overheating, then you should first let the computer cool down. You can do this by unplugging external devices and closing the lid of the computer. Let the Dell Precision 3510 Computer rest for 15 or more minutes before attempting to use it again.
If you are using your Dell Precision 3510 Computer and it powers off due to overheating again, listen for any fan noise coming from the bottom of the computer. The noise, if any, would be coming from the location of the vents of the computer. Check the vents with a flashlight, and look for excessive dust that may have built up over time. If you notice there is dust buildup, then you are going to want to clean that out.
You can learn how to clean the vent of the Dell Precision 3510 Computer by reading the Dell Owners Manual.
Hardware Malfunctions
Another reason your Dell Precision 3510 Computer won't turn on could be due to damaged hardware. Thoroughly inspect your computer, examining the screen, keyboard, and ports. Checking for any signs of physical damage is the first thing you should do if you suspect a hardware malfunction to be the reason your Dell Precision 3510 Computer Is not powering on.
If there appears to be no visually damaged hardware on the exterior, then check for any blinking lights or beeping sounds. The blinking lights on the base panel are indicators of there being damage to parts of the Dell Precision 3510 Computer that you are not able to view.
