The toaster oven doesn't turn on
When attempting to turn on the Toaster Oven, there is no response.
Issues with its connection to the outlet
Lots of times when the toaster oven will not power on, it is a simple fix, and it is due to the power cord’s connection to the outlet. Check if the toaster oven is appropriately plugged in and if there is no visible damage to the cord.
- If there is visible damage, the power cord may need replacing.
- If there is no visible damage, attempt plugging it into other outlets to see if the issue is your outlet.
Faulty power switch
If there is no response when turning on the toaster oven, there is a good chance that the power switch is the issue. Remove the side panel and look for poor or dirty contact points on the switch.
- If the contact points are dirty, you must clean them with sandpaper and cleaning alcohol.
- If the contact points are damaged, the whole switch needs replacing. Look here for instructions.
Blown thermal fuse
If the toaster oven is powering off soon after turning on, then there is a chance that the thermal fuse is blown. Locate the thermal fuse and check to see if it is operational; if not, it will need replacing. Look here for instructions.
The light will not turn on
The light of the toaster will not turn on or will be very dim, causing difficulty seeing into the oven.
The wiring or the motherboard may be faulty.
Circuitry or soldering within the device may be defective or incomplete.
The light-bulb itself may be faulty.
The light-bulb may need to be replaced.
When heating up, it starts smoking
Smoke coming from the device during use.
Old food burning inside the device.
Old Food may be burning within the device.
The oven powers up but refuses to heat up
The toaster oven turns on but will not heat anything up.
Dirty Toaster Oven
This toaster oven comes with a tray to catch the crumbs and other things that are often left behind in the toaster oven. If that is with your toaster oven, this is a simple fix: empty the tray, unplug the toaster oven, and do a deep clean. This seems simple, but it is very important to keep the heating element intact.
Loose Wires
Sometimes one loose wire can affect the whole toaster oven. Check to see if any of the wires are loose or have come undone. If so, tighten the wires, and as soon as you plug the toaster oven back into the outlet, it should be right back to normal.
Broken Heating Element
After cleaning and checking for loose wires, it may be the heating element. Therefore, remove the old heating element and replace it with a new one.
The oven's timer won't start
When the oven is on, the timer will not begin.
Not plugged in properly
Check if the oven is fully plugged into the outlet. Make sure your outlet has enough power supply for the oven.
Knob is broken
Try and turn your knob. See if the knob is too tight (won't turn) or too loose (will turn but the oven doesn't recognize it's turning).

Did you ever get a solution? I have the same problem?

Your troubleshooting directions say "Look here for instructions" but don't include a link for instructions that I can find.

Where is there thermal fuse on TOA-60?
Ben Bloom - crwdns2934203:0crwdne2934203:0
My TOA-60 died. It was a quick death, certainly sudden. Right in the middle of air frying one chicken breast, it stopped. And that was it. I checked the cord, the receptacle, etc. Everything is fine. The light does not come on… Dead! Not even three years old, used no more than once a week.

Sorry, but I strongly recommend getting rid of it. We had the same problems with the 1st one. Got it replaced, then the 2nd one was another piece of junk.
Very surprised that Cuisinart put their name on this product.
Dee Ban - crwdns2934203:0crwdne2934203:0
Very sad!
What did you replace it with?
Thx Dee Ban

Gave up on the air-fryer thing. Went with using:
Breville Mini Smart Oven BOV450XL, Brushed Stainess Steel
& COMMERCIAL CHEF 0.9 Cu Ft Microwave with 10 Power Levels
So far, all very good.
Good luck!

I have the Cuisinart TOA 60 1800 watt for over 3 years was working fine. Then suddenly it stopped heating and the light won't come on. Cuisinart told me it's past the warranty period and there's nothing they can do but offered me 20% discount on a new one. I bought the TOA 70 model but I'm afraid to open the box after reading all these problems without a solution. I love Cuisinart products this is the first time I'm having a problem if they are not successful in making something they shouldn't
