Unable to Power on
The toaster shows no sign of powering on.
Unplugged Power Cord
Ensure the power cord is plugged into a working outlet. If needed reset the outlet.
Faulty Cable
If the outlet the toaster is plugged into works and the toaster is still not turning on, the cable may be faulty. If this is the case, the toaster will need to be sent in to the manufacturer and repaired.
Levers Will Not Lock
The levers will not lock in the down position.
Toaster is Not on
The levers on the toaster will not lock in the "down" position unless the toaster is powered on. Ensure that the cable is plugged into a working outlet.
Levers Are Dirty
Crumbs and other debris may pile up on the levers and prevent the locks from engaging. Use a can of compressed air to remove any loose debris.
Bread Does Not Toast
Bread does not toast in the toaster.
Powered Off
Ensure the toaster is powered on and the levers are locked down in position. The heating elements will only engage if there is power to the toaster and the levers are locked down in position.
Damaged Coils
If the toaster experienced shock, either electrical or physical, the coils may become damaged. The coils may need to be replaced. Replace the coils using this guide.
Bread Dirties While Cooking
Bread becomes covered in debris while toasting.
Inside of Toaster Is Dirty
If the inside of the toaster has not been cleaned in some time, it may need to be cleaned out. Turn the toaster upside-down and use a can of compressed air to blow out loose debris.
Crumb Tray is Dirty
Most toasters have removable crumb tray at the bottom. The removal of this tray and cleaning on a regular basis keeps the toaster from building up crumbs. If the crumbs are stuck on the tray, clean it with soapy water until it's cleaned. After cleaning, dry the crumb tray before putting it back to its place.
Knobs Are Loose
The knobs on the toaster are loose, possibly making the toaster unresponsive.
Knobs Need Readjustment
If the toaster has been jolted or knocked over recently, the knobs may have popped out of place. Simply apply pressure to the knobs until a click is heard and they are back in place again.
Broken Knobs
Too much pressure or knocking over the toaster may have caused the knob to be broken. Then it needs to be replaced. Follow the instructions on the guide, about how to replace knobs of a toaster.

It doesn’t completely toast and had never done this before. I turn it up side down already to clean it.
