Your camera will not turn on when you switch the power on.

Your camera might not be working because the battery might not be charged. Remove the battery from the camera and place it into your battery charger. Once the battery is completely charged, place it back into the camera.

There may be excess dust in the battery compartment preventing your battery from connecting. Open the battery compartment, remove the battery, and carefully clean out the compartment with a cotton swab.

If neither of the above solutions work, your battery may need to be replaced. Look in a camera store or online for a new battery of the same model.

You charge your battery for hours but it runs out of power very quickly.

The GPS system on your camera drains battery very quickly when it is on. Look through the settings menu and make sure it is turned off if you are not using it. This will make your battery last longer.

Your battery may need to be replaced. Sometimes batteries stop working and no repair procedures will help with the fix. Look in a camera store or online for a new battery of the same model and replace the old battery.

The flash won't fire when you want it to.

The flash may not be turned on. Press the flash button on your camera to make sure the flash setting is on.

There may be excess dust in the flash connection preventing the flash from working. Remove the flash from the top of your camera and carefully clean the connection with a cotton swab or lint-free cloth. A clean connection allows for proper functioning of the flash compartment.

The flash will not fire if the battery is too low. Remove the battery from your camera and place it into your battery charger. Once the battery is completely charged, place it back into the camera.

Your flash bulb may be burned out if the flash is not working. You will need to buy a new bulb and replace the one in your flash.

Sometimes there is no problem with the flash and the connection is malfunctioning. In this case, you will need to replace the flash connection.

There are cracks in one of your screens.

If either screen is cracked, you will need to replace the screen protector for a clearer view.

One of your screens displays unusual colors or lines.

One of your buttons is sticky, or nothing happens when you press it.

Dirty internal button compartments do not let the buttons work properly. You will need to remove the camera casing, pop off the button, and carefully clean the connection with a cotton swab or a lint-free cloth. See our guides for removing the rear body panel and the front and top body panels.

Devices won't properly connect to your camera.

There may be excess dust in the connection ports preventing them from working properly. Carefully blow into the port at an angle to try to remove excess dust.

Sometimes cleaning the connection port does not work. In this case, you will need to replace the connection port since it may be malfunctioning. See our replacement guide for the MIC port and Remote Socket.
