I can play one cd with sound. The radio has no sound. Also, I can't get the attached 5 disc cd to play.

My Bose radio plays fine for @ 15 min then popping and static noises and after @20 min of static no sound. I turn it off and on again with remote and it plays fine and the cycle starts again. ever hear of this ?

My system will not come on with the remote. I have replaced the remote battery. There is no manual power button!

Went to change to DST and now the time is stuck on 2:56 PM and will not change. Trying to adjust with the clock button is useless NOTHING happens!

The C D will not play most times.  Once in a while it will play after  C D is about 15 minutes.  Everything else works      What is wrong?

I get interference on the speakers from the radio, even when playing music from a CD or from my Ipod. It seems the radio will not turn off. I have tried factory reset.

I have the Bose AWR 1-1W wave radio, which works just fine. The problem I have, after taking it apart is the antanee connection that is soldered to the circuit board. I would like to just buy the connection, not a whole unit.

No sound from the radio no matter what you try to do. No LED. Once in a while when you plug in the power, ALL L E D’s go on at once and there is no control of them. Unplug and re-plug and that results in no L E D’s and no way to get them on

My bose wave powers on, all lights are on as if it is working but I have no sound regardless of selected mode. Remotes change the volume, mode, radio station, cd selection, everything just no sound.

Whenoturn radio on there is about 8 digits on the display screen they will not go away, I can’t set my clock to the correct time and have it display

Display issues, When I turn the radio on instead of the clock I have a bunch of random numbers. I try to set the clock but I can’t see it because the random numbers remain on the display. Any suggestions? I tried to reset it by removing the battery and installing a new one still same issue.

Our Bose model AWR1-1W works fine with the cabinet controls, but not with the remote. We tried using a neighbor’s remote. That didn’t work either. Our remote was replaced with a new one from Bose several months ago. Should we try the purchase of a new remote?

My wave 3 stopped working. During the night it flashed a message and then the display would go dark then it would come back on get bright start flashing than go dark repeat repeat. Since then no sound speakers or head set.

Getting a “please wait “ on the screen and the radio will not play

The "please wait" as well as CD player issues are often caused by the electrolytic capacitors on the main PCB going bad.

The only way to resolve the issue is to replace the 30+ capacitors or the mainboard itself.

You can buy capacitor replacement kits on ebay for around $90, but it is no easy task to do. The kits are usually through-hole capacitors and the original caps are surface mount, so every one has to be finessed into place, making sure they sit low enough so the CD drive does not hit them when it goes back into place. I am quite skilled in this type of work and it took me about 4 hours to rework my parent's radio.

I think I have also seen someone offering a refurbish service for ~$200, which is the route I would go if I needed to do it again. My time is worth more than the extra $100 for someone else to do the work.

Everything is lite up on screen. Nothing can be turned off. I have replaced all the batteries and unplugged the radio. When you plug it back in everything on no sound 5 or 6 numbers on screen, aux, clock, alarm and volume on with no sound.

Light flashing in the back of the unit. White light. Unplugged and reconnnected and it stopped flashing.

Just picked up a Wave Music System lll (3). Remote functions as it should less the 'alarm 2' and the 'alarm setup/menu' buttons. When either is pressed, an acknowledgement flash occurs on the unit just as it does when pressing any other button. The remote's IR emitter also lights for both buttons when viewed through an old Samsung cell phone camera. As a result, I can not get into the 'setup menu' to do a factory reset.

The closest scenario I could find after hours of searching was a YouTube repair of failed 'up volume' button that was fixed by inserting a foil dot between the button and its contact.

My best guess is a noisy button contact in the remote, or a firmware corruption in the remote or the unit. I do have an ISO firmware upgrade found on the internet archive (https://ia902503.us.archive.org/31/items...) but have no CD to copy it to and don't know if I need to enter setup to apply the upgrade.

Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Have used canned air to blow out dust.

Clock is illuminated, cannot get radio or CD to play. Have done the reset several times. Replaced the battery with no luck. Can change time, volumn, select CD or radio, can change radio stations
