Device Won't Turn On
The speaker won't turn on or respond when the power button is pushed.
Dead Battery
If the device isn't charging, try connecting it to a different charging cable or set it on a different charging port. If it still isn't charging, consider replacing the battery or the AUX/USB Port.
Device is in Battery Protection Mode
The Speaker goes into battery protection mode when it has been unplugged and unused for more than three days with a remaining charge of less than 10 percent. In order to turn the speaker on again, connect it to the charging cable or port.
Bluetooth Will Not Pair
Your Bluetooth device will not pair to the speaker.
Speaker isn't in Bluetooth Mode
Make sure your speaker is in Bluetooth mode by pressing the Bluetooth button on the speaker while it is on. When the speaker is ready to pair, the LED next to the Bluetooth button will flash blue, and, if the voice prompts are on, the speaker will say, "ready to pair".
Bluetooth isn't Turned on or Enabled on Your Device
Make sure the Bluetooth for your device is turned on or enabled and try to pair it again.
The Device You are Trying to Connect to the Speaker to may be Out of Range
The speaker's wireless range is 30 feet. Make sure that the device you are trying to connect to the speaker is within that range and try to pair it again.
There is Something in Between Your Device and the Speaker
Make sure there isn't anything between your device and the speaker, like bodies, walls, etc. and try to pair it again.
Multiple Paired Devices
Only one device can be connected to the speaker at a time. If there are two devices paired to the speaker, turn off the Bluetooth on the device you don't want to be connected to the speaker and try to pair the device you do want to be connected to the speaker.
There Have Been Eight Devices Connected to the Speaker
The speaker can only store information about the last eight devices that were paired with it. To select your device, repeatedly press the Bluetooth button on the speaker until you hear the name of your device. If you don't hear your device's name, clear the speaker's device memory. To clear the memory and connect your device, press and hold the Bluetooth button on the speaker until you hear a tone and, if voice prompts are enabled, you will also hear a voice prompt. Then the Bluetooth light will begin flashing blue and you can try to connect your device to the speaker again.
The Speaker's Motherboard May be Faulty
First, factory reset the speaker by pressing and holding the power button while the speaker is on until the speaker asks you to select a language and there is a flashing blue light. Select a language and try to connect your device to the speaker again. If your device still won't connect to the speaker, consider replacing the motherboards as a last resort.
Battery Will Not Keep a Charge
The battery will not charge or the battery does not last as long as advertised.
Battery Does Not Last as Long as it Should
If the battery only lasts a couple hours, instead of the advertised 12 hours, consider replacing the battery.
The AUX/Charging Port may be Faulty
The speaker has two ways to charge the battery. You could set it on a charging port, or connect it to a charging cable. Try connecting the speaker to a different charging cable or port. If it still isn't charging, consider using the AUX/USB Port Replacement Guide.
The Speaker Sounds Distorted
There is poor audio quality from a connected Bluetooth device, there is poor audio quality from a connected AUX device, or there is no sound coming from a connected AUX device.
Bluetooth Device is Out of Range or There is Something Between Your Device and the Speaker
The speaker's range is up to 30 feet. If the Bluetooth device is out of range, try moving it into that range. If your device is in your pocket, or if there is a wall between your device and the speaker, try eliminating those obstructions to improve audio quality.
Speaker is Near Another Bluetooth Device, Microwave Oven, or Wireless Router
Speakers should be moved away from any device that generates electromagnetic interference, which could be another Bluetooth device, a microwave oven, or even a wireless router. The electromagnetic interference from these devices could interfere with the signals from your device and mess up the sound quality.
There Could be Too Many Applications Running on Your Device
Closing non-essential applications may improve audio quality. Reduce the number of applications running on your device, running multiple applications can reduce the amount of internal resources available to transmit audio from your device to the speaker, making the sound quality worse.
The Speaker is not in AUX Mode
Press the AUX button on the speaker and make sure that the AUX indicator is on, there will be a white LED light lit up next to the AUX button.
The AUX Cord isn't Plugged in all the Way
Make sure the 3mm plug is fully inserted into the speaker on one end and fully inserted in your device on the other end.
Your Device may not be on and Playing
Make sure your device is connected to the speaker, turned on, and your desired application is playing.
The Volume may not be Turned up Enough on Your Device
Increase the volume level on your connected device.
The Volume may not be Turned up on the Speaker
Increase the speaker's volume by pressing the volume up button.
The Volume is too High on the Connected Device
Reduce the volume level on your connected device.
The AUX Cable isn't working
Try using a different AUX cable.
The AUX/Charging Port is Faulty
Try using the AUX/USB Port Replacement Guide.
Restore the Speaker to Factory Settings
First, try to turn the speaker off and back on again. If that doesn't work, try resetting the speaker by pressing and holding the power button on the speaker for ten seconds until you see a flashing blue light and the speaker asks you to select a language. Select your language and try pairing your device to the speaker again.
The Side Speaker Membrane is Ruptured
You may notice that air is blowing out of the hole when playing music with strong bass. Try a clear bass tone and you may feel the air through the grille. (It would be much more prominent when the device is disassembled.) Contact your local service shop or look for a replacement speaker identified by the photo on the side speaker replacement manual. The part number may be 357793-0010.
Speaker Firmware is Not Updating
The speaker firmware won't update.
The Browser You are Using may not be Compatible With the Update
Try using a different internet browser to run the update.
The Speaker may Need to be Factory Reset
If speaker firmware is not updating try factory resetting the speaker. This will clear any language that was selected and all the memory of paired devices that it had and it will restore the speaker to factory settings.
- First, turn on the speaker.
- Press and hold the power button for 10 seconds.
- A flashing blue light will appear and the speaker will ask for you to select a language.
Select your language and try using a different internet browser to run the update on your speaker.

I downloaded bose app and it downloaded an update. On installing app said that something went wrong and thats it, my bose doesnt work now, doesnt react to anything i press. playing any radio station om my Ipad through WIFI goes flawless. When I then try to stream it via bluetooth to my Bose the sound interupts for a second or so, every minute. When I switch back to the Ipad, all is perfect again (apart from the lousy sound quality!)

My Bose Revolve didn’t charge. When I connected it to power the charge sound plays and the yellow charge lad glows but no charge after a few hours and Revolve didn’t switch on at all, after performing soft resets and after connecting to power and pressing the power button it said battery low that’s it.
I started google the problem and find no exact solution.
Then I connected the Revolve to my laptop using mini-USB and downloaded software updater from Bose website. The Revolve appeared in Updater app and suggested the software update, after the update the Revolve went back to life.
I hope it will help to a lot of users bring back to life their Revolve. It’s strange to me that BOSE didn’t clearly advise this solution on their website.

Despite my unit being returned to the repair centre in Belgium TWICE Bose has been unable to resolve the problem of the on-unit volume controls not working. The volume can only be adjusted within a very limited range from the host device which is very inconvenient if it is in another room.
There is evidently a software fault preventing these controls from working correctly but BOSE just can’t seem to grasp this and take the appropriate corrective action. Most disappointing. Has forced me to buy another manufacturers device (two off) to fulfil the use for which I originally bought the white elephant Revolve +.

Off late , the volume of my Bose revolve plus doesn’t remain consistent while it shifts from one track to another in the same playlist. it goes down on its own at some random songs, once you pause it and restart the song, the volume and loudness is restored.

Ok I am not sure if this is just my Revolver+ but initially after the reset, it works perfectly. Then after some time, the volume performance is getting softer on every use until I need to reset it again. I had this 3 times already since Sunday. it really annoys me to the point that it is still faint even the volume is already 100%. I love the speaker but having issues with streaming. If, for example, I’m on youtube the video will stream for periods of time. Turn the speaker off and the video will play fine. My issue is my speaker stopped charging, even though it made the charging sound when connected to a cable or dock. It needed a firmware update which may have resolved the issue, however the charge was too low to do the update through the app. I tried to use the bose.btu website to update. By this point the speaker was completely dead and doesn't respond to any inputs or being plugged in the power or computer. Is there any way to bring it back from the dead? I managed to restore it before with a firmware update, but it's too dead to facilitate this now.

I'm so disappointed I done this update, and the app isn't really needed for anything unless, besides removing useless features like AUTO TURN ON when in range...
If there any EASY way to go back to how it was and working before? I was a very useful feature, now I feel the wireless blue tooth speaker is useless to me.

What garbage this brand new speaker is. it will not connect to my iphone after using the aux sound cable. i tried to connect it and phone said it could not connect, to choose 'forget this device'" and then reselect it. but now it doesnt show up on the list of devices. in order to connect i have to turn blue tooth off and back on. cant a brand new high end product be relied on to work without inflicting idiotic ordeals on users? and thanks, bose, and thanks, trouble shooter, for not addressing this idiotic problem so i have to yet again experience tech rage.

I updated my speaker with the firmware, speaker keeps charging but still battery at same low percentage and after unplugging from charge, when l on it, it doesn't come on at all!!!!!!!!!
It only comes on during charging even that, goes off after 5 seconds. Have charged the machine over 5 days now and still battery low and power not coming when l on it!!!
What do l do now????
