Bluetooth is not connecting
Headphones are not connecting to your device, or are continuously losing connection.
Headphone need a reset
Sometimes a simple reset is all a device really needs. Power off your headphones and the device you are using for 10 seconds, then power them both back on and try reconnecting them.
Reconnect headphones to your device
Start off by making sure the USB charging and audio cable are disconnected and unplugged from the headphones. If you are still receiving issues, navigate to the Bluetooth settings on your phone, tablet, or computer and turn off bluetooth for 15 seconds, then turn your Bluetooth on again. If you are still struggling to connect the headphones to your device, go into the Bluetooth settings, delete the headphones from the list of remembered devices, and restart the pairing as if the headphones were a new device.
Volume won't adjust
Volume of your speakers is stuck at too high or low of a volume, or your headphone speakers are staticky or cutting out. Also if your headphones just have no noise at all
Headphones stuck on one volume setting
If your headphones are stuck on one volume setting, then the headphone control buttons may be broken. To fix this you will need to replace the headphone control buttons.
Sound is Staticky and cutting out
This may be due to your Bluetooth connection so try making sure there is nothing that is interfering with your connection. Also try putting your headphones closer to your device. If none of that works, it may be your headphone's speakers that's the problem. You will have to replace the speakers of your headphones.
No sound at all
If this is the problem, you are having there are many different ways to troubleshoot this. Make sure that your headphones are powered on and the power light right under the headphone controls is green. Also make sure that your Bluetooth or hardwire connection is good. For Bluetooth, the light next to the power light should be blue when connected. Make sure that your volume is on. If none of those work, then your speakers are the problem, and you will need to change out the speakers.
Headphones are not powering on
Headphones will not turn on with switch.
Power switch issues
If the Bose Headphones will not turn on but are charging, then you might have a problem with the power switch there may be a disconnection in the headphones that connects the switch to the headphones.
Headphone jack won't work
If you are using the headphone jack and the headphones are charged but still will not play sound, then the power switch is likely the problem.
Battery can't hold a charge
Headphone's battery is dead, even though you have been charging them.
Headphones won't charge while they are turned on
The Bose QuietComfort 35 II will not charge while headphones are powered on, so make sure you turn them off before plugging them in to charge.
My USB cable won't work
Not all USB cables are made the same, so use the USB charging cable that originally came with the headphones. You can also try other USB cables to see if they work instead, if this is the case then that mean the USB cable you tried at first could be faulty or not provide enough amps to charge the headphones.
Headphones won't charge outdoors
Batteries are generally unable to charge in extreme high or low temperatures. Try charging the headphones indoors, at room temperature.
The battery has reached the end of its lifetime
As with all lithium ion batteries, they degrade over time. If you're noticing that your headphones playtime is significantly less than when you first bought them, or they're not powering on at all, it might be time to replace the battery altogether.
Noise cancellation does not block outside noise
Noise cancellation doesn't seem to be working at all, or as well as it normally does.
Head accessories are getting in the way
For the noise cancellation option to work, the headphones need to be form a tight seal around your ears, and certain accessories can disrupt the seal. Remove your hat or other accessories, like glasses or earrings, for a better seal.
Reset your headphones
The headphones might just need a simple reset. Turn your device off, wait 30 seconds then connect your product to a wall outlet using a USB charger, wait 5 seconds and then unplug the headphones; wait 1 minute before powering the headphones on.
Noise cancellation is on the wrong setting
In the "noise cancellation" setting on the Bose Connect app, there are options for the levels of the noise cancellation. Make sure you have the desirable option chosen for your headphones: you can choose between "high," "low," and "off."

I have firmware 4.8.1 in my QC35. Problem is the music LOW volume (connected to WIN10 or iPhone) is way too loud. The minimum sound volume is too hiugh to wotrk comforable including the sound cancellation. This has been different in previous versions. None of the audio adjustments in the iPhone or the PC can go deep enough.

My headphones work just fine. However, the right ear cup came detached from the headband. I have 2 little pieces that screw together thru a place in the headband that lets the cup swivel. I think I can put it back together but I can't find any information what tools I need for these tiny parts or how the combination of flat & convex washers (?) fit back together. Pictures would be really helpful as well as finding the right tools. Please help! I love my headphones.
Thank you,
Karen Cameron

Hi, one side doesn't work and there are no repairers I can send them to to fix here in New Zealand. They have just passed the 2 yr warranty so can't send them in for repair. Am open for suggestions. They were a gift for my daughters 18th birthday and she's devastated!
