Controller Will Not Power On
The controller will not turn on or charge
Faulty Battery
It is possible that the battery has died or malfunctioned, causing the controller to not charge. Consider replacing the battery by using (this guide).
Defective Charging Cable
Make sure the adapter is plugged in correctly and that a light turns on. If the adapter does not light up when plugged in, it may be defective and need replacing.
Malfunction of circuitry
If the above solutions do not resolve the problem, it is possible that the motherboard has stopped working. Should this be the case, the motherboard will likely need to be replaced altogether. Learn how to replace the motherboard using (this guide).
Joystick Not Working Properly
The joystick is unable to perform all of its intended function(s)
Joystick inputs are inconsistent with on-screen outputs
If the character/selector is moving on its own, or if it does not move when prompted, apply compressed air into the space around the joystick while moving the joystick around in circles. This issue is often caused by dust or other debris that get inside the analog stick. If the problem still persists, the joystick may need replacing altogether. Learn how to replace the joystick using (this guide)
Joystick Stuck/Jammed
A jammed joystick is typically the result of dirt and/or sticky substances finding their way into the inner part of the analog. If the problem is caused by dirt or some other type of loose debri, the joystick can often be unjammed by applying compressed air into the space around it. If the problem is caused by a sticky substance (soda, syrup, etc,) try using rubbing alcohol and a Q-tip to clean the ball of the joystick. If the joystick is still stuck after these fixes, it may need to be replaced. Learn how to replace the joystick using (this guide).
Buttons Jammed/Not Working
The buttons are unable to perform all of their intended function(s)
Jammed
There may be dirt or other debris under the button(s). This can often be fixed by taking a Q-tip with rubbing alcohol on it and cleaning around the edge of the button(s). If this does not fix the issue, the controller may need to be taken apart to access the deeper part of the button(s). Learn how to do this using (this guide).
Not Responding
If a button fails to work altogether, it may need to be replaced. Learn how to replace the buttons using (this guide),
Controller Not Connecting to TV/Switch
The controller is powered on but is not connecting to the console.
Syncing New Controller to Console
Ensure that the ''BEBONCOOL Wireless Switch Pro Controller has been synced to the switch. This can be done by using an already connected controller to select “Controller” in the switch menu. Proceed by clicking “Change Grip/Order.” The Switch will then ask you to sync your controller by holding down the buttons indicated on the screen.
Controller that has already been synced cannot connect
This could be caused by disruption in the Bluetooth connection between the controller and the Switch. Make sure that Bluetooth connection is turned on by going to “Settings” and selecting “Controller Connection (Bluetooth).

System Settings > Controllers and Sensors, then scroll all the way down and select Disconnect Controllers. This will unpair every controller from your device. Then, plug your Beboncool controller back into the console and allow it to pair. It should work wirelessly again, or at least that's what worked for me.

You may need to recalibrate. Go to controller settings on the Switch, choose recalibrate, push down on the control stick that is drifting and let up, then rotate when the circle shows on the screen until it stops. Unfortunately, drifting is a problem with all Switch controllers including the originals.

I found out how to fix it! You must press the “T” button on your controller and press the button that’s being spammed at the same time.

It works except for any game that requires holding down a button for an action (IE- lego games like Harry potter requires you to hold. A to move things, also wouldn’t work for mario origami king. )

I tried the link above to update the firmware. According to it, both of my controllers are Version 2, so I downloaded that version of the firmware updater app, but when I connected it said it was the wrong version and it could not update it. I then tried the Version 1 updater app, but that one would not connect to the controllers at all. Hopefully someone at Beboncool is reading this, and will come out with a working version of their firmware updater!

There’s an “A” and “B” version of the firmware update for second controller generation on the website (scroll down a bit). Make sure to check the alternative firmware as well.

I wanted to add “success” story here. A lot of work to make a controller work but I followed the directions to update the firmware on the Q44 on my PC. Afterwards, it’s important to forget all stored controller, restart the system (press and hold power bottom and restart, don’t put in sleep mode). From there, you go to change grip/order and press and hold home and Y. This worked for me. The guide on the main site was helpful. Hope this helps others (probably won’t check back).

There is an option in the controller settings to unpair all connected controllers. I did that, then plugged the controller to the dock, with the switch docked, then I unplugged the controller and hit the sync on the change grip order screen, and they did sync back up.
