Sound cuts in and out

There is no sound at all in either side of the headphones.

Damaged external cable

If the external cable is damaged, torn, or severed, you will not be able to hear any sound. You will need to replace or re-solder the external cable.

Damaged thicker red and yellow wire

If the thicker gauge, shielded red and yellow wire is damaged, torn, or severed, you will not be able to hear any sound. You will need to re-solder the thicker red and yellow wire.

No sound in the left ear

There is no sound coming out of the left ear.

Damaged black and blue wire

If the black and blue, unshielded, internal wire is damaged, you will not be able to hear any sound in the left ear. You will need to re-solder the black and blue wire.

Damaged driver

If the driver magnet is damaged, sound quality will either diminish or no sound will be heard on the affected side. Removal and replacement of the headphone driver on the affected side will fix this problem.

Damaged external cable

If the external cable is damaged, torn, or severed, you will not be able to hear any sound. You will need to replace or re-solder the external cable.

No sound in the right ear

There is no sound coming out of the right ear.

If the thinner red and yellow wire is damaged, you will not be able to hear any sound in the right ear. You will need to re-solder the thinner red and yellow wire.

The headphones are uneven on your head and not balanced correctly between your ears.

There is too little bass in the music playing through the headphones.
