When powered on, is your Arlo Pro 2 not syncing to the base station? Use this troubleshooting guide to help diagnose why.
Proximity issues and signal disruption
The area and placement of the devices can be disrupted by stray frequency signals.
- Place the cameras 1 to 3 feet away from the base station to try and sync them.
- Try to reduce the amount of stray signals and frequencies in the area of the devices. Multiple Wifi signals and other transmitted frequencies may interfere with the cameras and base station.
Trouble Syncing Cameras
The Arlo Pro 2 camera may not sync to the base station.
- If the cameras are having trouble syncing, then try syncing the camera as it is plugged into a power source or supply. The base must be in syncing mode to sync the cameras.
- Try re-syncing the cameras to the base.
Follow these steps to sync the camera to the base.
- Bring the camera close to the base station.
- Press the sync button on the base for a few seconds until the sync light turns green.
- Press the sync button on the camera, a blue light should flash, indicating a successful sync.
If the sync light turns amber then there is a connection problem.
Ethernet Cable Connectivity
Problems with the Ethernet cable can cause issues with syncing and connectivity.
- Make sure the Ethernet cable is connected to both the base station and your router.
- Confirm the internet is working by testing it on another device.
- Reboot the base station after adjusting network settings.
- If the light on the base is off it means it is not connecting to the router.
- Try a different port on the router and make sure the Ethernet cable is securely plugged in.
If the problem persists, try a different Ethernet cable.
Base Station Sensor Replacement
If nothing else works, there is likely a problem with the base station's sensors.
