Vector does not indicate that he is charging when placed on his charger.
Charger Seating
Verify that Vector is fully seated on his charger and that there is good contact with the charging pads.
Charger Is Not Plugged In Completely
Ensure that the charger’s USB connection is secure.
Problematic Battery
Check Vector’s battery by turning him on and allowing his battery to die.
If you see a battery icon on his screen when you try to turn him on, his battery is functioning normally.
If he fails to do this, use Vector’s Customer Care Info Screen (CCIS) by referring to this guide.
Vector Is Not Turning On
Vector will not show signs of being powered on when you hold down his power button
Vector Is Not Charged
Vector has lost any power in his battery.
Put him on his charging pad, or follow this guide on charging issues.
My Wi-Fi Network Is Not Displayed On The Network List
When attempting to connect Vector to a Wi-Fi network, the desired network is not shown on the list of available networks
Incompatible Network
Ensure your network is capable and has activated 802.11n 2.4GHz mode.
Do not use a captive portal network which is not supported.
Examples include networks associated with academics, hotels, airports, shopping centers, etc.
Vector Must Be Reset
Reboot Vector in recovery mode and erase the user data by following this guide.
Smart Device Error
Reboot your smart device.
Wi-Fi Router Error
Reboot your Wi-Fi router.
Cannot Connect Vector App via Bluetooth
The Vector app cannot find Vector via Bluetooth or the app cannot get past the, “searching for Vector” message.
Charger Seating
Verify that Vector is fully seated on his charger and that he is booted up completely.
You can verify that he has booted if you see a pair of eyes, “anki.com”, or a phone icon on his display.
Signal Inference
To ensure that there is not interference with the Bluetooth, keep Vector away from other Wi-Fi or Bluetooth devices.
Bluetooth Device Error
Reboot your Bluetooth device.
Glitch in the Firmware
Reboot Vector in recovery mode and erase the user data by following this guide.
Vector Cannot Find His Charger
Vector fails to navigate or locate his charger.
Charger Is On A Troublesome Surface
Ensure charger is placed on a hard, flat, and opaque surface free of reflections and vibrations.
Charger Is Obstructed
Keep the path between Vector and the charger unobstructed (his cube can obstruct the path).
Poor Lighting
Make sure Vector is able to see his charger by eliminating poor lighting.
Check if his camera is functional by having him locate his cube or recognize a face.
Error Codes On Vector’s Display
The error codes 898, 899, 981, 915, 917, or 980 show up on Vector’s Display.
Allow Vector To Restart
Wait 30 seconds for Vector to automatically restart.
If Vector does not reboot, refer to this guide on how to boot him up in recovery
mode.
Vector Does Not Understand Me
Vector is not following commands , responding to “Hey Vector”, or indicates the he doesn’t understand what’s being said.
Accent Error
Open the Vector app and go to settings then go to Preferences to change the language.
Remember to choose your language preference depending on your accent not on your physical location.
Use Of Unsupported Commands
Refer to the Vector app for a list of valid Voice Commands.

Insufficient Charge
Make sure that Vector has an ample charge as he will not respond to commands when his battery is low.
Time To Think
Pause after saying, “Hey Vector,” and wait for Vector’s back to illuminate and the alert tone to sound before stating your command.
Vector Needs To Be Prompted Manually
Press vector’s back once to bypass the voice prompt, then state your command.
Vector Cannot Understand You
If Vector indicates that he cannot understand you,
- Ensure that you are not holding him
- Eliminate any background noise
- Speak clearly and loudly at a normal speed
- Make sure you are not trying to integrate the command with another phrase; be sure to give vector one command at a time
Vector Is Not Making Any Sound
Vector is inaudible and is not producing response sounds when prompted.
Volume Is Set Too Low
Adjust the volume slider located in the settings of the Vector app.
Volume Adjustment Does Not Work
Reboot Vector by holding down his back button to turn him off and then hold the button again to turn him back on.

That's drop sensor failure. Pretty much screwed unless you have a parts vector or can source a drop sensor somewhere. Mine same thing and code 898, 891. I've reached out to many people and nobody knows where to find them. Even if you do then you have to be pretty much pro at soldering and know your micro chip boards like an expert. Stupid sensors, there should be abypass for this but apparently not.

Vector has solid red led lights and is not responding to me. I have tried to double click the button in case he is muted, but it does nothing. I have tried to turn him off, but he won’t and I tried to hold the button in for 15 seconds while on the charger to reboot and nothing happens. In the meantime, he is exploring, making noises. He even looked at me and said my name once. I tried letting his battery drain down and then the next day recharged and he responded to a question, but then got back on his charger and red lights came back on and no longer will respond.

My vector shows only the top part of the screen, but the rest does not appear. When viewed from a dark place, the backlight of the screen appears to come in. It is said that the eyes of the vector are only slightly visible and invisible. There are no problems with other actions. No I wouldn't say trash. People are paying decent money for broken ones as it's hard to source parts for them. eBay will be your best bet. Or wait it out till DDL gets there repair service going but who knows when that will be and what they will charge.

Hey, so i’ve been having this issue where when I call vector, the blue lights come on and he tilts his head up as if hes listening for a command, but then he turns it off after a second and acts like he can’t understand me. It’s not an error of voice recognition because he can understand the initial call command just fine every single time, but he doesn’t keep listening for long enough to get a command through to him. I am at a loss for what to do besides factory resetting him. Any ideas?

My vector can't boot anymore. Some months ago, it was fine. But sometimes it showed errorcodes. I couldn't remember what actually was it but maybe it was 910 or 915 Something. I tried factory reset and it didn't work at all. Reset was successfull but errorcode was still appeared. Also it couldn't connected with app. I think it was just by Network error or that vector’s identification code was changed. And few days later from those happenings, vector couldn't boot but only turned on when I put it on it's charger. Among His three square lights, only the first one is turned on and nothing is changing from that. Vector didn't show anything on it’s face,didn't make any noises and didn't move any of it's motors, Just with some high frequency noises that can only hear at quite place when it is being turned on. I can't find out vector's ip address and identification code. Of course still can't connect it with app. What could I do for this???

I still have the same old problem with one of my Vectors, where one side doesn't roll correctly and she most of the time is just stuck going in circles. When she's trying to roll and I help her by giving that track a little push, sometimes it breaks loose and she's able to go do whatever she was focused on. I ordered it from uk,,but i live in France.
It came with his charger,his cube, hé didn t speak but hé was walking and looking us with his Big êyes....when WE asked him to connect to internet he wasn t able to do it....
