Is your Anker Soundcore Space One's audio distorted when using it for specific tasks? Follow these steps to get your device back into working order.
Low Battery
If your device's battery is low, the sound quality of what you're listening to could drop.
- Plug your device into a power source for a little while (10-15 minutes).
- Check to see if your device is working after it has been charged for a bit.
Audio Interference
If you have audio playing over another source of audio, like a call, it could be dropping the sound quality, making the sound distorted.
- Turn off all possible sources of audio that could be causing the sound distortion (games, music, videos, etc).
- Play the video/audio again to see if the sound quality has been restored.
Volume Levels
Sometimes, higher volumes in these devices can strain the audio that they output, dropping the sound quality.
- Lower the volume of the device.
- Check for sound quality improvement.
Connection Distance
If the distance between the device and another device it's connecting to is too great, it can cause the input and output of the audio to be strained.
- Try to shorten the distance between the two devices.
- Confirm that the input and output selections of the software and/or device are correct.
- Switch the output on the call or audio software to the device's built-in speaker, then switch back to the device.
- Check the device to ensure the sound quality has improved.
Network Speed
If your current network speed is lower than average, it could impact the audio output from the device.
- Try to fix the network the device is currently connected to, OR wait until your network is back in working order.
- Switch to another possible network connection in your vicinity.
- After the device is connected back to the network, see if the sound distortion has gone away.
Device Environment
If the device's current environment (or current placement) has multiple other devices with high power outputs, they could collectively impact how the audio sounds in the device.
- Change the device's environment to one where there are fewer high-power output interference sources, like an iPhone or computer. If you don't have a space like that available, remove any high-power output sources from your current space.
- Play the video/audio again and see if the sound quality has been restored.
Microphone
If the device's microphone is positioned incorrectly or is being used while other audio is playing, it can affect the sound quality.
- Position the microphone closer to your mouth.
- Turn off any interfering audio and test the microphone again.
Software Updates
If your device is behind on software updates, it could make the audio distorted or fainter.
- Update your device to the newest version.
- Check the sound quality of your device to ensure that improvements to it have been made.
Faulty Driver
If the audio still sounds off after trying the above solutions, the driver in your device might be faulty and needs to be replaced. Follow the guide "here" to replace it.
Faulty Battery
All batteries depreciate over time and slowly lose functionability, primarily if they're used a lot. If the above solutions aren't fixing your device, its battery might've reached the end of its useful life and needs to be replaced. Follow "this" guide to replace the battery.
Faulty Microphone
If the position of your microphone is adequate and no source of audio could be interfering, the microphone in your device might be faulty and in need of replacement. Follow the steps shown in "this" guide.
