If your Anker Soundcore Select Pro speaker does not power on, even after being charged, this troubleshooting guide may help identify and resolve the issue.
Damaged IQ Charging Port
The IQ charging port is responsible for receiving power from the charging cable and supplying it to the battery. If the port is damaged, loose, or blocked by debris, the speaker may not charge properly and fail to power on. Check the charging port for dust or debris and gently clean it if necessary. Follow the How to Clean the Ports on Your Electronic Device guide for detailed instructions.
After doing so, plug in your device using a working charging cable and power source and confirm whether the charging light is lit, indicating it is charging. If the device still does not charge or the port appears damaged, the IQ port may need to be replaced.
Battery Failure
Over long periods of time and repeated charging cycles, the battery inside the speaker may begin to degrade and lose its ability to hold a charge. Signs of this include no lights when the power button is pressed or the device turns on briefly and then shuts off. Try charging the speaker for at least 30 minutes using a working charging cable and power source. After charging, press and hold the power button to attempt to power on the device. If the speaker still does not turn on, or briefly does and then powers down, the internal battery may need to be replaced.
Damaged Button Panel
If the speaker's button panel becomes damaged or worn out, the power button may not properly register when pressed. Try cleaning around the buttons and pressing and holding the power button firmly to ensure it is not stuck or covered by debris. Additionally, try resetting the device by pressing and holding the Bluetooth and Volume+ buttons simultaneously for 5-10 seconds. If the speaker remains unresponsive, the button panel may need to be replaced.
Faulty Speakers
The Anker Soundcore A 3126 speakers produce the sound you hear. A faulty speaker can present itself in two ways: the speaker turns on but produces no sound or distorted audio, or, in more severe cases, damaged internal wiring may interfere with the speaker's normal power operation entirely. Inspect the inside of your metal mesh plate on the front side of your speaker for any signs of damage, which may indicate internal speaker damage. If the speakers are faulty, replacing it may restore proper functionality.
Faulty Motherboard
The motherboard controls the internal functions of the speaker, including power distribution and startup. If the motherboard becomes damaged due to electrical issues, water exposure, or part failure, the speaker may not turn on. Closely inspect the speaker for any signs of water damage or burn marks indicating a motherboard issue. If the speaker does not respond after charging and all previous steps have been attempted, the motherboard may be faulty and in need of replacement. Follow this motherboard replacement guide for instructions.
