Are your Anker Soundcore Motion 300 battery draining much more quickly than it used to? Use this troubleshooting guide to help diagnose why.
Playing at High Volume
Playing music at high volumes can quickly decrease battery life. Bass-heavy tracks also require more energy consumption from the system and will drain battery faster as well.
Standby Mode Instead of Powering Off
When the speaker is powered on, even if music is not playing, the speaker will still consume power while looking for or maintaining the Bluetooth connection with the paired device. Ensure the speaker is fully powered off by holding down the power button for three seconds when not in use.
Distance from Device
Connecting a device across longer distances can create connection issues and lead to an increased power consumption to maintain the speaker’s Bluetooth capabilities.
Battery Aged or Faulty
Battery life for a lithium-ion battery decreases over time with age and wear. Repeated use, prolonged unuse without charging regularly, exposure to extreme climates, and improper charging practices can all lead to a decrease in battery life. Ensure the speaker is charged as soon as low percentage warnings are given and the battery is not allowed to fully discharge; unplug the speaker immediately when it is fully charged. Use only product approved charging cables. Recharge the speaker every three months if it is not used for a prolonged period of time. Do not expose the speaker to extreme temperatures or weather conditions. Replace the battery if there is no speaker output after restarting the device.
