The Speaker Will Not Turn On

The speaker is unresponsive when hitting the power button.

The battery is not charged or is faulty.

The battery of the speaker could be dead. If this is the case the speaker needs to be plugged in. Try that first, and if the issue is not resolved, the battery could be faulty. This would mean that a replacement battery may be necessary. Check out this battery replacement guide!

The speaker has been in use for a while.

When the speaker has been in use for a while, it is likely that the battery could be dead. Plugging in the speaker and letting it charge is the best way to solve this problem.

Tip: If the lights on the speaker are on and the volume is set high, it will drain the battery life faster, so turn off the bottom lights and lower the volume of the speaker!

The speaker overheated.

If you are using the speaker outdoors, it could have overheated. Put the speaker in a shaded area or bring it inside to cool off. After letting the speaker cool off, try turning it back on.

The power button is unresponsive.

If the power button is not responding, press and hold all of the buttons for 30 seconds and it should turn on.

Bluetooth Will Not Connect

Your device will not connect to the speaker

The speaker’s name does not appear under Bluetooth connections on your device.

Your speaker may be out of range. Try moving your device closer to the speaker.

Tip: Turning the Bluetooth on your device off and on again may sometimes resolve the issue.

Another device is connected to the speaker.

Make sure another device isn’t connected to the speaker.

Tip: Turning the speaker off and on again will disconnect any device it is connected to.

Too many devices are trying to connect at the same time.

If multiple devices attempt to connect to the speaker at the same time, the speaker will have problems. Try to limit the number of devices connected to one if possible.

Bluetooth hardware problem.

If you go through every other solution and you think the problem has to do with the hardware itself, the component might need replacing. The hardware that controls Bluetooth connections on speakers is housed within the main circuit board. For the Anker Soundcore Flare Mini, that will be the motherboard. Check out this motherboard replacement guide!

The Quality of Sound Declines Over Time.

The sound from the speaker is distorted or muffled.

The volume is too high.

Using the speaker on full volume for long periods of time can distort the audio after a while. To prevent this, you can either turn the volume down on the speaker or don’t have it at max volume for long periods of time.

Your speaker is too far from the connected device.

If the device connected to the speaker is too far away, the audio from the speaker will sound distorted. If your device is out of this range, simply move it closer to the speaker and that should solve your problem.

There is wave interference.

Fun Fact: Bluetooth connection uses waves to connect to speakers!

If there are a lot of Bluetooth devices being used at the same time within range of your speaker, the connection between your device and your speaker could be interrupted.

To solve this problem, try to remove or turn off any additional devices within range of your speaker.

Driver hardware problems

Fun Fact: The driver extremely important to the output of sound from the speaker.

If the sound quality of the speaker has greatly declined and or not working at all, there is a chance that there is a problem with the drivers. Either they could be malfunctioning or not working at all. In this case, they need to be replaced. Check out this driver replacement guide!

The Speaker Fails to Charge

Plugging the speaker into the charger will not charge the device.

The charger could be broken or damaged.

Broken chargers are not uncommon. Double-check to see that the charger is functioning properly. If it is not, a replacement charger will need to be purchased.

The charging port could be dirty or clogged.

Using the speaker outside creates the possibility of dirt and debris getting inside the charging port. If this is the case, use a toothpick or compressed air to clean out the debris inside the port.

The battery is faulty.

Batteries are sometimes defective or just stop working. If you can determine that it is the battery is not working instead of the charge, it will need to be replaced. Check out this battery replacement guide!

Damage to the Waterproof Outer Shell

The outer shell of the speaker is damaged in some way

The outer shell is either dented or is no longer waterproof

This is a very likely scenario because the outer shell is made to be waterproof and durable, but the speaker being dropped is very possible. For whatever reason the outer shell needs to be removed or replaced, check out this waterproof outer shell replacement guide!
