Altec Lansing Super Life Jacket Troubleshooting

My speaker lose the volume it sounds very low.

My life jacket 2 won't turn on and I unplugged it to see if it would turn on and it never did then I plugged it back in and a blinking red light came up and I pressed the power button and it went to a steady red light

maybe i overcharged

I have a lifejacket bluetooth speaker when you power on and off the speaker is very load, but when playing music it won't go as loud. It use to be just as load but now it's not. Any suggestions?

I bought two of them and one wont charge and only plays if its connected in low volume and the other shows is connected but no sound ….

The google interactive audio works but actual sound tracks anything- Bluetooth or otherwise has no sound at all. Was working fine till week ago

My device turn off when I turn the volume to de max level.

My Life Jacket 3 shows a red light when I plug it up and I'll leave it for about 4 hours and when I try to power it on no volume comes out

No volume, powers on and no audio at all. Called tech support and they wasted my time. My unit was like this out of the box, very unimpressed.

I bought my lifejacket jolt yesterday and it won't turn on at all I've had it charging for 14 hours it still shows that it needs to charge more and it will not turn on while it's on or off the charger

All aspects of paring, lighting, etc are functioning. But, I’m getting absolutely no sound. This is so troublesome. Most expensive and marketed as most “durable” in its class, and hadn’t lasted me a full 6 months of use. It’s not been expended to any weather either…

My lifejacket speaker was blinking both red & blue at the same time. I plugged it in and turned it on and it turned on fine, but it's not working. It says it's connected to my device.

My issue is, it won’t charge. Flashing red light for a minute or so and then it goes out. These speakers are too expensive to have issues like this so soon after purchase.

I have an Altec Lansing bluetooth speaker that automatically connects to my Windows 10 desktop when I turn it on, but it always connects as "voice" only. Then I just disconnect it, then reconnect and it connects as "voice and music". Any idea how I can make it connect correctly the first time and every time?

Just got the Speaker and it already is not making sounds , no powering up bing and no Music will play!!!

My dad got me the lifejacket jolt for Christmas this year. I've litterally only used it 4 or 5 times. I had it plugged in charging when its suddenly stopped working. No matter how long I charge it it still will not turn back on. I can tap it on the end and my phone will try and connect to it but then fails. When I try this the power button will flash sometimes.

I used my life jacket jolt for about 4 minutes an turned it off. I came back to turn it on. And will not power up

It worked 1minute and the next it

It will not power up. I had it on for about 5 minutes. And turned it off. I went 2 minutes later and it will not power up. I have a charge on it . And charge it up again. And I still got nothing.

My life jacket xl was originally working fine and at one point it turned off. I plugged it in to charge and a orange power button light turns on like its charging and about 15 mins into it. It shuts off completely. Power button doesn’t turn on and nothing works at all. I even purchased the charging cable again Incase it was faulty. It does the same thing. Anyone have an idea what’s wrong?

I have the Life Jacket 3. I have had the speaker for over a year or two. Within the past year it started randomly cutting off even thought it was fully charged. I would then turn it back on and the blue charged light shows up. I believe the problem causing it to shut off has to do with the bass. Because whenever it is about to hit a hard bass note it just shuts off. However, if I turn my volume button down one click down from the highest on my iphone it will play right through the bass drop, granted that the bass still doesnt sound like it should when it hits. Could it be that the bass modulator is short circuiting or overpowering the amp causing it to shut off? Cause it only does it when i have the volume all the way up and a bass drop is about to hit? My super life jacket jolt won't produce any sound it turns on and pairs up with my phone but it doesn't produce any sound what so ever not even when you turn it on usualy when you turn it on it gives you the “welcome to altec lancing” but not even that

It was built by Chinese monkeys. 7 screws on back side. Unplug battery. Wait 1 minute. Plug back in. Repeat as necessary. I have this problem as well but was not willing to trash 74 dollars.

My speaker only turns on when it’s connected to the speaker and says it’s fully charged but when I unplug it, it turns off and won’t turn on until i plug it in again.

I've read 100 or so comments all of us are having the same issues with no help All $@$* Landfills tech support team talked to 10ppl at least all said must've been something I've done to the speaker NOT TRUE just to try and salvage my $80 I ordered new battery and charger port put it back together 5 min same $@$* so final obvious conclusion $@$* BOX $@$* COMPANY!!!!! BOSE SPEAKER IS ON THE WAY!!!!!

I’ve got a Jacket H20 4 paired with a windows 10 PC. It stops playing music and then buzzes. If I don’t turn it off, the buzzing gets progressively louder until it sounds like a fire alarm. This speaker is less than two weeks old. I’m not happy at all.

I have the Omni Jacket it plays for two seconds and reboots. It keeps powering on. Anyone else have this problem.

My speaker often cuts out. Thought it was my cell phone, spotify account, the fact that there are too many bluetooth connections available around the speaker, but we isolated all these variable and still the same issue, but not with all songs. When I press play, the song will start again, but stop continuously. Any suggestions?

My speaker has a solid white light where the power button is, and my music will not play when it was connected. I disconnected hoping if i reconnected it would help but it in fact did not. My speaker has yet to have the white light disappear after 3 days now. I even tried just letting it die but it will not, i tried letting it charge for 24 hours but nothing is working. The white light will not go away whether i try turning it on or off nothing happens, and my phone will not connect or anyone else's when we have tried. If anyone has any suggestions or know what the issue is please help me

My speaker makes a really weird ringing noise while playing music off my phone but my phone isn't ringing! What's wrong with it?

I got an mini H20 from some girl who said she needed to buy a train ticket home and was still in the box she said she bought it and never opened it,it still had a price tag of $12.99 and I gave here $15 to help her out.

Everything was in the box:speaker,USB cord still wrapped,and the papers,looked brand new,I turned it on and a ladies voice came on saying welcome to Alter lancing etc.

I paired it with my phone and played two songs and it turned off by itself, I turned it on again and no sound came on,says connected and the buttons controlled the volume but not always.

Had it only 20 minutes and the sound stopped working,I pressed vol + and - and it reset but still no sound still,was it faulty or is there something I can do to fix it?

When using Lifejacket paired with iPhone next to unit it suddenly looses connection and pairs with another IPhone in other room??

My speaker was working fine for a while. One day, it was running low on battery so I tried to charge it, but the red light didn't pop up to show that it was charging. It didn't charge any time I tried to charge it. Now, it's completely dead and I have no way of charging it so I can't use it. I've tried several different power cords that match the plug-in, and I've tried several different outlets and nothing works. What should I do?

My bluetooth speaker doesn't have any of the buttons working and the audio coming out of it is choppy. I'm trying to turn the speaker off but I can't because the power button isn't working. I don't know what the problem is or how to fix it.

Does anyone know how to stop it from being so loud when it announces itself. I usually turn it on in the morning and it yelling "welcome to alteclansing" would be much more welcome if it just had a lower volume for that.

Since there are newer posts here I'm going to ask. My life jacket jolt (idk Altec Lansing) stopped working. Initially it had a pairing issue with my phone. (when it always works fine.) The red LED wouldn't stop blinking even after being plugged in for hours. My phone said it was at 20% still and then it fully died. When holding the power button it faintly blinks, but never turns on. Again it's been plugged in for an entire night/day on two different cables/plugs. My assumption is battery death or power button failure....? There is no external damage and I haven't dropped the unit. But it has been in moist environments.
