Unresponsive Trackpad
During use the trackpad stops working.
Enable/Disable Trackpad
To enable or disable the trackpad, simultaneously press the function (Fn) key and the F7 key. A message will appear on the screen indicating whether the trackpad is enabled or disabled.
Reset Connection with Keyboard Dock
Start by putting the device to sleep. Then physically disconnect the keyboard dock from the tablet. Reconnect the keyboard dock to the tablet to re-establish the connection between the tablet and keyboard dock.
Trackpad Drivers Need Updating
Acer Live Updater should download and install this update without requiring the system to reboot. If you have removed or never launched Acer Live Updater, please use the following steps: Connect your Switch 10 to the keyboard dock and AC adapter. They must remain connected until the update is complete. Press the WINDOWS key to access the Start screen. Type LIVE UPDATER. Double click LIVE UPDATER to launch the program. Tap CHECK FOR UPDATES. The keyboard dock update will install in the background. Close the application.
Uninstall/Reinstall Trackpad Drivers
First, uninstall the trackpad drivers via Device Manager. Click START, then right-click COMPUTER and click MANAGE. In the computer management window, click DEVICE MANAGEMENT. Click the + sign in front of MOUSE AND OTHER POINTING DEVICES. Right-click the device listed below MOUSE AND OTHER POINTING DEVICES and select UNINSTALL. Click OK to confirm. Then restart the computer to let Windows reinstall the drivers. If the drivers do not automatically install, then go to http://us.acer.com/ac/en/US/content/driv... to manually install the drivers. Select Notebook under Group heading, Aspire Switch under Series heading, then select SW5-011 under Product heading. Finally, download and install drivers.
Device Will Not Power On
The device will not respond to holding down the power button.
Faulty Charger
With the charger plugged in if the battery indicator light on the power button does not come on the charger is faulty. Replace the charger.
Device Needs to be Charged
Plug the device in, if the indicator light on the power button blinks an amber color, then the battery is critically low or faulty. Let the device charge for at least an hour. Turn on.
Faulty Battery
If the indicator light still blinks an amber color instead of displaying a steady amber color after being on the charger for at least an hour, the battery is faulty. Replace the battery using this guide.
Device Needs to be Reset
If the device has a charge, the indicator light on the power button displays a steady blue or amber color when plugged in, and still will not turn it needs to be reset. There is a reset pinhole between the microphone and Micro SD card slot on the right side of the device (screen facing you in upright position). Insert a pin needle size object into the pinhole and hold down the reset button for four seconds. Device should turn on.
Motherboard on Device Needs to be Replaced
If none of the above troubleshooting topics solve the problem the motherboard may need to be replaced by using this guide.
Poor Wifi Connectivity
The device won't connect to wifi at all or can't stay connected to wifi.
Outdated Drivers
If your drivers are not up to date, your device will not connect to any wifi source. It will tell you that all drivers are up to date even though they are not. Select Notebook under Group heading, Aspire Switch under Series heading, then select SW5-011 under Product heading. Finally, download and install drivers.
Faulty Screen
While in use, the screen will black out or remain dark after booting.
Reboot from BIOS
To reboot from BIOS, you'll have to restart the tablet. As the tablet starts up, press the F2, F9, and F10 keys and hit ENTER. Simply select EXIT and click YES to confirm. The device will restart.
Hardware Reset
Remove the battery from the tablet, but keep it plugged in to the charger. Hold the power button and F12 key down for about 60 seconds. The device will power down and then restart with the issue resolved.
Unresponsive Keyboard
When the tablet is connected to the keyboard, it does not work.

Hi there my Aser aspire Switch 10 turns off after pricisly 25 minuets , I have don’t all I can to try to correct this , reinstalled windows 8 , tested and cleaned all HDD and RAM , mayed sure settings are set to never turn off the screen etc but still every 24 to 25 mins off it goes agin , it can be turn straight back on so if over heating it would probably need to cool a bit first !!!

It dose get quite hot but even with a fan blowing directly into the graphics and CPU with the back. cover off , it is a fanless laptop and has a Hynix HB G4e solder chipset hard drive
