Device will not charge

The device will not charge when charger is plugged into device

Faulty power cord

Make sure the power cord is plugged in correctly. If the device still will not charge, consider purchasing a new power cord.

Faulty battery

Make sure the power cord is plugged in and that the device is receiving power. If the device powers on when plugged in, but cuts off as soon as you unplug the power cord, then they battery is faulty. The battery should be replaced using this guide.

Faulty charging port

Check the charger port for any debris or any damaged contacts. Try the current power cord on another device to see if it will charge. If the power cord charges a different device, consider replacing the Trek HD charging port.

Device will not power on

Trek HD is not charged

The battery life of the Trek varies by the use of apps and the settings on the tablet. The way to obtain the best battery use is to use the original charger when charging. Plug the Trek in; it should fully charge in less than three hours according to AT&T.

Memory tied up with other apps

If the device will not power on when the power button is pressed, try to hold down the volume and power buttons simultaneously until the screen restarts and turns back on.

Faulty battery

Distorted audio

Audio sounds distorted through speakers/headphones

Faulty headphones

Check to make sure the headphones are plugged completely into the audio port. If the headphones still sound distorted, try the same headphones in another device. If this problem continues on a different device, the headphones may be faulty. Consider purchasing a new pair of headphones.

Damaged audio jack

Ensure the headphones being used have a secure connection to the device. If the headphones sound distorted, check to see if they will work in another device. If the headphones work properly with a different device, consider replacing the audio jack on the ATT Trek HD.

WiFi connection failure

Device will not connect to WiFi

WiFi is not turned on

Make sure that the WiFi setting for the Trek is turned on, and the correct network is connected. The ATT Trek HD will not automatically connect to unknown networks.

Modem or router is not working properly

Power off the modem/router for at lest 30 seconds. Then, power back on the router and make sure all lights are lit on the router. Go to network settings on the Trek HD and attempt to connect to the network again.

Screen freezing/not responding to touch

Screen stuck on same page/will not respond

Memory tied up with other apps

If the screen is frozen, try to hold the power button down to turn off the device. If this does not work, then hold down the volume and power buttons simultaneously to restart the device. If the problem continues, a factory reset may be needed.

Damaged screen

If the screen is cracked or damaged this may cause the screen to not respond to touch. If the screen still shows a picture but doesn't respond to touch, consider replacing the digitizer using this guide.
