Background
The Sony Cyber-shot DSC-W830 was released in January 2014. It is a mid-range point-and-shoot camera with an 8x optical zoom. The W830 can take pictures in 20.1 megapixels. The camera has a 2.7-inch display and can shoot video in 720d HD. The camera also uses an Optical Steady Shot feature instead of an Active Steady Shot. It uses the Intelligent Auto feature that allows the camera to automatically pull in natural amounts of light from the surroundings to naturally enhance the qualities of the picture.
The W830 has a multi-scene selection that allows the user to select the proper mode to take photos depending on the time of day and lighting situation that is given. The camera has a continuous shooting speed of .80 fps for up to 100 photos. The camera can also be connected and charged with a USB 2.0 cable. The battery has a typical battery life of around 210 shots for every 100 minutes.
