Hey, do you know if the outer (glossy) panel is removable (changeable) or permanently laminated to the screen?
It is a fully laminated display module.
Excellent, thanks for this! Is it possible to replace the built in camera with a more modern one? Any thoughts in this?
I think it is impossible since the camera module is highly integrated to the main board, there are also some special pins to route the audio signals from the camera module to the audio chip on the main board.
Hi Andy,
Thanks for the tear down, With the bezel is it just clipped on and just requires the use of a spudger to get it off?
Yes! I just took it off with my hands
The camera being on the same module as the mic, if my mic does not work it would rather come from a softaware problem ? right ?
Thanks for this anyway.
How easy is it to replace the front/rear bezel? Mine is cracked on the bottom corners of both sides.
And I’m having a hard time discerning how to simply replace the front bezel part.
I have a blueish vertical line. Can I fix this by reseating some kind of ribbon cable or something? Thanks
Purtroppo non ci hai mostrato come rimuovere il pannello posteriore e la cornice esterna che come spesso succede, si rompe insiegabilmente da sola.
