The old housing had a lot of cosmetic damage, and I also wanted a different color housing with a fresh new look.

The repair went smoothly due to iFixit’s repair guide and the quality tool set and parts I purchased from them. Thanks to the repair guide, I had the confidence I needed to make the repairs myself. Since that repair I have also replaced screens, batteries, and other parts on several other iPhones. I had a great experience not only with the repairs, but also with their customer service department. I didn’t receive the right amount of a couple gaskets in my first order, but after a quick response to my email explaining the situation they sent me the missing parts along with some bonus items.
