The fan sounded like a Tardis and the laptop would overheat and ruin the battery.

The repair went very well, thanks to clear instructions. I was even able to work on my giant space alien head the same evening.

I'm not sure my laptop is as good as new. Is something causing the laptop to overheat, pushing my fans into overdrive and an early death? I would like to know if there's something I can do to make sure I'm not only treating the symptoms, but fixing the cause.
