Swap the CPU Chip

  • Turn the ZIF retaining screw to release the CPU chip. When properly released you will be able to easily lift the CPU out of its socket.

  • Insert the new CPU into this socket. Note carefully that you must line up the corner of the chip with the two missing pins and the corner of the socket with the two missing pin holes.

  • Apply heat sink compound to the raised portion of new CPU chip. Also apply heat sink compound to the smaller chip in the upper right corner of the photo.

Remplacer le CPU

Tourner la vis de fixation ZIF pour détacher le CPU. Lorsqu’il est correctement détaché, vous pouvez soulever facilement le CPU hors de son socket.

Insérez le nouveau CPU dans son socket. Attention à bien aligner le coin du processeur où il manque les deux broches avec le coin du socket où il manque deux trous.

Appliquez de la pâte thermique sur les points surélevés de la puce CPU. Appliquez aussi de la pâte thermique sur la puce plus petite visible dans le coin supérieur droit de l’image.
