  • Blasting through the pentalobe-and-suction-cup-dance normally reserved for iPhones, we beast the lid off with a familiar sliding maneuver.

  • Let's play "Spot the Differences!" On the left we have the Touch Bar MBP, and on the right is the Escape Edition MBP.

  • Touch Bar features: a smaller battery, two fans, double-ended heat sink, no SSD card, and lower speakers (that don't actually line up with their grilles).

  • Function Key features: way more components that you can actually remove right off the bat—namely the SSD, speakers, and battery (well ... sort of).

  • On the Touch Bar model, it looks like we can only remove the trackpad and headphone jack before hitting a logic board barrier.

Lanciandoci nella consueta danza pentalobe-e-ventosa riservata di solito agli iPhone, cacciamo fuori il coperchio con una molto familiare manovra di scorrimento.

Giochiamo a "Trova le differenze!" Sulla sinistra abbiamo il MacBook Pro Touch Bar, a destra il MBP Escape Edition.

Caratteristiche del Touch Bar: batteria più piccola, due ventole, dissipatore calore con doppio terminale, nessuna scheda SSD e altoparlanti inferiori (che non sono effettivamente allineati alle loro griglie).

Caratteristiche del Function Key: molti più componenti che si possono effettivamente rimuovere direttamente da questo livello di apertura, in particolare SSD, altoparlanti e batteria (beh, quasi...).

Sul modello Touch Bar, sembra che sia possibile rimuovere solo il trackpad e il jack cuffie prima di scontrarsi con una barriera a forma di scheda logica.
