  • Use your hand to turn the oil filter counter-clockwise until it comes off the threads.

  • Pull the oil filter out of the engine bay with the threaded end facing up to prevent oil from spilling. Set the oil filter aside with the threads facing upwards.

  • If the filter is too tight to loosen by hand, use an oil filter wrench. A wrench that fits over the top of the oil filter would be ideal as there is very little space on the sides of the oil filter.

Drehe den Ölfilter gegen den Uhrzeigersinn bis er sich vom Gewinde lösen lässt.

Halte den Ölfilter mit dem Gewinde nach oben zeigend in der Hand und stelle ihn auch so zur Seite, damit das darin enthaltene Öl nicht auslaufen kann.

Sollte der Filter so fest sitzen, dass du ihn nicht mit der Hand öffnen kannst, dann verwendest du idealerweise einen Ölfilterschlüssel, der über die Oberseite passt, da an den Seiten sehr wenig Platz ist.
