  • Occasionally a user reports statically charged coffee grounds coming out that seems to defy the laws of gravity. They float up into the air and cling to things, making a mess!

  • Often it will stop on its own after the impeller gets a few days of use. It's a bit of a mystery however, I believe the issue arises mainly in dry climates, with certain beans in combination with the plastic impeller.

  • To fix the issue, simply give your impeller a scrub and rinse in the sink and then pat it down with a towel until dry.

  • This slight bit of moisture seems to take care of static issues permanently. I suspect it gets us by until the impeller builds up a natural coat of coffee, which also serves to prevent static charge.

Risoluzione problemi #4: Carica elettrostatica sulla polvere di caffè

Occasionalmente un utente segnala delle cariche elettrostatiche sulla polvere del caffè che sembravano sfidare le leggi della gravità. Fluttuano nell'aria e poi si attaccavano ovunque facendo un disastro!

Spesso si depositano sul girante dopo qualche giorno di utilizzo. È comunque un mistero, credo che il problema si verifichi principalmente con i climi secchi, e con certi chicchi in combinazione con il girante di plastica.

Per risolvere il problema, semplicemente pulisci il girante, sciacqualo con l'acqua e asciugalo con un asciugamano finché non è asciutto.

Questa leggera umidità sembra curare i problemi di statica. Sospetto che basti finché sul girante non si forma uno strato protettivo di caffè, che serve anche a prevenire cariche statiche.
