Installing the Transmission Drain Plug

  • Re-insert the transmission drain plug into the transmission housing and hand tighten.

  • Using a 3/4" wrench, tighten down the transmission drain plug.

  • It is important to not over-tighten the drain plug. Tightening the plug too much can strip the threads on the aluminum housing. The plug should be tight, but not too tight. The correct torque specification is 14 - 21 ft-lbs (168 - 252 in-lbs).

Instalando el tapón de drenaje de la transmisión

Vuelve a insertar el tapón de drenaje de la transmisión en la carcasa de la transmisión y apriete a mano.

Con una llave de 3/4 ", aprieta el tapón de drenaje de la transmisión.

Es importante no apretar demasiado el tapón de drenaje. Apretar demasiado el tapón puede quitar las roscas de la carcasa de aluminio. El enchufe debe estar apretado, pero no demasiado. La especificación de torque correcta es de 14 a 21 pies-libra (19 a 29 N.m).
