  • Use the flat end of a spudger to lift the battery out of the midframe.

  • Check to make sure no ribbon cables remain stuck to the battery, and separate them carefully if needed.

  • If there is still adhesive holding the battery down, slowly pry the battery away from the midframe, taking care not to bend the battery.

  • The battery will separate more easily if you add a few drops of isopropyl alcohol along each side, to soften the adhesive beneath. High concentration (90% or greater) alcohol will not harm your phone's components.

  • Alternatively, you may apply heat to the midframe to soften the battery adhesive, but be very careful not to overheat the battery.

  • Don't deform or puncture the battery—it can catch fire and/or explode if damaged.

  • Never reinstall a damaged or deformed battery. Replace the battery.

  • Use a few strips of thin double-sided adhesive tape, such as Tesa 61395 or strips from a pre-cut adhesive card, to secure the replacement battery.

Gebruik het platte einde van je spudger om de batterij uit het midframe omhoog te duwen.

Zorg dat er geen lintkabels meer aan de batterij vastzitten voordat je deze stap voltooit. Haal alle kabels van de batterij af voordat je deze probeert te verwijderen.

Als er nog steeds stukken lijm onder de batterij zitten die het aan de telefoon bevestigen, kun je de batterij langzaam maar zeker loswrikken van het midframe. Wees hierbij voorzichtig en probeer je batterij niet te verbuigen.

De batterij zal makkelijker loskomen als je wat druppels hooggeconcentreerde (>90%) isopropyl alcohol langs alle zijden van de batterij aanbrengt. Deze alcohol tast de lijm aan en beschadigt geen andere onderdelen in de telefoon.

Als alternatief kun je wat warmte gebruiken om de lijm onder de batterij te verzwakken. Wees hierbij echter extra voorzichtig aangezien de batterij vatbaar is voor oververhitting en warmteschade.

Probeer in deze stap te voorkomen dat je je batterij vervormt of mogelijk doorboort—als dit gebeurt kan je batterij in brand vliegen en/of exploderen.

Herinstalleer nooit een reeds gebruikte of vervormde batterij. Vervang je gebruikte batterij altijd door een nieuwe.

Gebruik een aantal strips dubbelzijdige tape, zoals de Tesa 61395, of vooraf op maat gesneden kleefstrips om je nieuwe batterij in de telefoon te bevestigen.
