  • Throughout the following procedure, you'll be sliding thin plastic cards between the battery and rear case of the iPad, to separate the adhesive securing the battery. Be careful to keep the cards as flat as possible to avoid bending the battery, which may damage it and cause it to release dangerous chemicals.

  • Once the adhesive has had a couple minutes to soften, flip the iPad over, battery-side up.

  • Insert a plastic card underneath the battery contacts.

  • There is a metal standoff under the battery contact. You will need to lift the contact up slightly to clear this standoff and insert the plastic card.

  • Push the card about an inch under the battery to begin breaking up the adhesive holding it in place.

Tout au long de la procédure suivante, vous allez glisser de fines cartes plastiques entre la batterie et la coque arrière de l'iPad, pour décoller l'adhésif de la batterie. Veillez à manipuler les cartes aussi à plat que possible pour éviter de plier la batterie, ce qui pourrait l'endommager et laisser s'échapper des produits chimiques dangereux.

Une fois que l'adhésif a eu quelques minutes pour ramollir, retournez l'iPad, côté batterie vers le haut.

Insérez une carte en plastique sous les contacts de la batterie.

Il y a un dispositif métallique d'écartement sous le contact de la batterie. Vous devrez soulever légèrement le contact pour dégager ce dispositif et insérer la carte en plastique.

Insérez la carte d'environ 2 cm sous la batterie pour commencer à faire céder l'adhésif la maintenant en place.
