Spot Healing

  • Not all work environments are perfectly clean, so subjects may end up with hair, dust, dirt or other imperfections on them. Major offenders should be removed if possible.

  • Spot Healing and Clone Stamp tools are particularly useful for erasing imperfections without greatly affecting textured surfaces like in the pictures shown.

  • The Spot Healing tool used on this picture takes an imperfection and edits over it using details from the surrounding area. It is a good tool for fixing small blemishes (like the specks in our photo) since any inconsistencies that result from the editing are hardly noticeable.

  • The Clone Stamp tool is similar to the spot healing tool except you manually select what area you will be copying from. This tool is good for larger edits, but may require some extra touching-up to get the correct look.

  • Some imperfections may not be visible when placed into the smaller guide windows, but may be easily seen if the full sized image is viewed. Consider whether or not the imperfection would be visible under the greatest available zoom.

Plaatselijk repareren

Niet alle werkomgevingen zijn volledig proper, dus er kan haar, stof, vuil of andere imperfecties op je voorwerp zitten. De opvallendste boosdoeners zouden moeten verwijderd worden indien mogelijk.

Repareren en klonen zijn uitermate handige tools om foutjes te verwijderen zonder de textuur van het oppervlak te veranderen.

De repareerfunctie die we gebruikten in de voorbeeldfoto, vervangt de imperfectie met informatie uit de omgeving van de imperfectie. Het is een goede tool om kleine foutjes zoals spikkels te corrigeren.

De kloonfunctie werkt gelijkaardig, maar in dit geval selecteer je zelf de regio waaruit je kopieert. Dit is beter voor grote aanpassingen, maar kan nog extra bewerkingen vereisen om het er goed te doen uitzien.

Sommige imperfecties zijn niet zichtbaar in het fotoformaat in de handleiding, maar wel als iemand de foto in volledige grootte bekijkt. Weeg zelf af of de imperfectie zichtbaar zal zijn in fullscreen formaat.
