Replacing purge bulb

  • Loosen the two screws holding on the carburetor with a T27 Torx bit turning it counter clockwise.

  • The pictures show the air filter and filter housing removed

  • Be sure not to lose or tear the gasket between the carburetor and the intake manifold. It will need to be replaced if either occurs

  • Remove the four screws holding on the old purge bulb by turning counter clockwise.

  • Remove plate holding on purge bulb.

  • The old purge bulb should come right out and replace it with the new. Be sure the rim of the new purge valve is properly seated when reinstalling

  • Reinstall the purge bulb plate and securely tighten the four screws. Be sure not to overtighten these screws as they can easily strip

  • Now reinstall the air filter housing, carburetor, and gasket in the same manner they were removed. Finally, reinstall the air filter and air housing cover.

Reemplazo de la bombilla de purga

Afloje los dos tornillos que sujetan el carburador con una broca Torx T27 girándola en sentido antihorario.

Las imágenes muestran el filtro de aire y la carcasa del filtro retirados.

Asegúrese de no perder ni romper la junta entre el carburador y el colector de admisión. Será necesario reemplazarla si ocurre cualquiera de estas situaciones.

Retire los cuatro tornillos que sujetan la bombilla de purga vieja girándola en sentido contrario a las agujas del reloj.

Retire la placa que sujeta la pera de purga.

La pera de purga vieja debería salir fácilmente y reemplazarse por la nueva. Asegúrese de que el borde de la nueva válvula de purga esté correctamente asentado al reinstalarla.

Vuelva a colocar la placa del bulbo de purga y apriete firmemente los cuatro tornillos. Asegúrese de no apretarlos demasiado, ya que pueden dañarse fácilmente.

Ahora reinstale la carcasa del filtro de aire, el carburador y la junta de la misma manera que los retiró. Finalmente, reinstale el filtro de aire y la tapa de la carcasa.
