  • The line was already 50 people strong yesterday around 1 PM local Aussie time.

  • By 7 AM there were close to a thousand people in line.

  • Our teardown team was #53 in line, and the Apple Store only had 40 iPhone 6 Plus models in stock.

  • But hey, no worries—we got our hands on an iPhone 6 Plus, all thanks to a wonderful Australian iFixit fan named Ricky. Thanks Ricky!

  • It turns out Ricky is not related to this Ricky.

  • After our little Apple Store adventure, we skedaddled back to MacFixit Australia, where the teardown's taking place. We want to send out a big thanks to our good friends at MacFixit for letting us use their office. They stock Mac and iPhone upgrades/accessories, and also carry our iFixit toolkits. Thanks MacFixit Australia!

News Flash aus dem Downunder:

In der Schlange standen bereits gestern um 13 Uhr Australischer Zeit 50 Leute .

Um 7 Uhr morgens standen schon fast tausend Menschen an.

Unser Teardown-Team war Nummer 53 in der Schlange und der Apple Store hatte nur 40 iPhone 6 Plus Modelle auf Vorrat.

Aber keine Sorge - wir haben ein iPhone 6 Plus in die Hände bekommen, dank eines wundervollen australischen iFixit Fans names Ricky. Danke Ricky!

Es stellte sich heraus, dass Ricky nichts mit diesem Ricky zu tun hat.

Nach unserem kleinen Apple Store Abenteuer seilten wir uns zu MacFixit Australia ab, wo der Auseinanderbau stattfindet. Wir bedanken uns bei unseren guten Freunden von Mac Fixit Australia dafür, dass wir ihr Büro benutzen dürfen. Sie führen Mac und iPhone Upgrades/Zubehör und vertreiben unsere iFixit Toolkits.
